It's all about the grind. Think about how sweet that record is going to sound, 38 DMs and 4 years later Kids these days are all about instant gratification

  5. My favorite album in 5th grade. What a terrible band this was.

  9. As an almost lifelong South Dakota resident, I'm really interested to see if they get into what piqued a bunch of Georgia boy's interest about Lead and the Homestake gold mine as a concept for this album. Haven't read anything about that unless any of y'all have seen something. Also this was probably my favorite album of last year regardless of all that, after being casually aware of the band for a while and getting into Cope and Hope after those came out.

  10. Splatter is a bit underwhelming but with that color mix I was expecting it to be. If you're wondering about a download, it comes with a DL code.

  14. I couldn't get into GoE and I fucking love Death of Lovers. I'm pretty stoked.
    1 point
  15. Why? You can just listen to GoE if that's what you want to hear, if they wrote and recorded songs that sounded like that record.l, What would be the point? They already did that..

  16. I was really hoping more from the teaser singles I want a Guilty of Everything 2

  17. Same. If it's a band whose previous work I've loved, sometimes I won't even listen to one.

  18. I’ve reached the point where I hate listening to more than one song off an upcoming album. It has ruined plenty of albums recently. Waiting til release day for the rest.

  21. several tracks in and as expected, chock full of boring, pulsing, repetitive 20teens pop melodies. haven't heard one original musical thought yet.

  23. Personally, I'm excited. I never skip these sets, they usually end up being something special. That NECA mask is cool, and I'm kind of hoping this means we may get more collectibles based in the lore of The Amory Wars. 15 track, 78 minutes. This album is going to be a beast. That's an entire track longer than Good Apollo V1.

  24. Facedown Records is pressing My Epic's debut album on vinyl for the first time. It's a double LP on cloudy clear vinyl with a gatefold jacket and limited to 300 copies. My Epic - I Am Undone

  25. Very bland lately. It's a bummer because I love his scores for 'The Incredibles', 'Up', 'Star Trek', and 'Lost'...

  27. I would let Stephen Richards like my face. Despite 99% of post-Gift being trash lol. But Gift is literally a defining album in my life. First band I “obsessed” over. Got an “advanced” bootleg download of Welcome before it officially released. The transaction happened via a zipped folder sent through AIM lmao.

  30. So I just spent 30 mins looking for my pictures with Dime and Vinnie but of course I couldn’t fucking find them but I did find this one which gave me a chuckle

  31. RIP Vinnie. I like the way you think. Maybe Lemmy, Cliff and Dimebag are waiting to start a sweet new band.

  35. Yeah, honestly, fuck this band. I don’t really understand how you guys can keep listening to the same album time and time again. Deafheaven need to take one of these approaches to keep things fresh and win more of their fanbase back. Dirt Roads to Juder George and the boys go full twang. No less than three banjo solos from Kerry will be acceptable. Truly a hootin’ and hollerin’ output from the band. Bonus points if Dan incorporates some jug blowing into the percussion. No clear or articulate guitars allowed. Sunbizkit The most natural progression for the band, I think. George needs to get away from the growls and just rap with loose rhyme schemes while Kerry pumps out some sick nu metal chugs in the background. Really just getting away from that clear, articulate guitar sound, you know? I think this has a lot of potential and could really rebrand the group. New Bromuda Dude, fuck articulate guitars, bro. This shit is all about sick drops that will put Deafheaven on stage with the illest DJs you’ve ever seen. The beauty here is that the band can just pre-record their instruments and play them back in live settings with appropriate scratch effects. Think Dream House (House Edition). George could really mix up the vocals and go full autotune too. Tell me it wouldn’t work.

  36. I feel you. I'll wait a mail cycle (12-14 days) before I check in on an order that has not updated, especially if it's a label that normally sends shipping updates. Then, I'll wait another 7-10 days for a reply before I check back in. I know there are jerks on both sides of the equation but I think it's possible for there to be a positive "Hey checking in" "Cool, here's the status" exchange where both the label and customer are being cool and polite. Doesn't have to be a shameful negative thing for either party.

  37. Mylene Sheath are slow but legit. Always give small labels the benefit of the doubt. Especially with the window for a PayPal claim being 6 months now.

@tetsuodaironman He came back for you, hermano! On 6/20/2016 at 11:53 AM NEEE... said: "I'm officially done with this site. A bunch of stuck up, annoying and impatient idiots (except for a handful), that don't understand the concept of a father that had an AC and dryer break and that is dealing with a sick wife. I am not "ignoring" anyone. I see the message, but I really didn't have a chance to get to it. Yes you paid and you want your item. I understand that, I made a huge mistake. I apologize. But seriously man, cut me a break here. People here are rude and pretentious. This whole "me" first attitude with I want it now. I get it, but the way people DM me, I should post all the crap I have to deal with here. NO more. I'm not even making that much money to begin with. Rant over."
