  5. A Quiet Place - I was too busy to catch this in the theater unfortunately. Overall I liked it, except for a complaint that I'll put in spoilers. Very clever idea that seems like it appeals to horror nerds, but is also broad enough that my folks would probably like it too.

  8. Hey Y'all, As I was browsing Bull Moose today, I noticed that there was a new Iron & Wine EP available for pre order. It's six tracks, and looks to be released on 8/31/2018. Looks like there is nothing on Sam's actual site yet, but you know how it goes! Bull Moose Track Title 1 What Hurts Worse 2 Waves of Galveston 3 Last of Your Rock ’n’ Roll Heroes 4 Milkweed 5 Autumn Town Leaves 6 Talking to Fog "Iron & Wine follow up their 2018 Grammy-nominated full-length Beast Epic with Weed Garden, a collection of material that began about three years ago. The six-song EP features songs that were part of the writing phase for Beast Epic, but went unfinished. They were part of a larger narrative for principal songwriter Sam Beam, who ran out of time to get them where they needed to be for inclusion on Beast Epic. Weed Garden also includes the fan favorite “Waves of Galveston.” While on tour last fall, the final pieces of material took shape and a sense of urgency prevailed in bringing these characters full circle. To resolution. To completion. In January, Beam and company hunkered down in Chicago at The Loft recording studio to capture these six songs. No more, no less. Weed Garden joins the good company of previous Iron & Wine EP’s – The Sea and Rhythm, Woman King, In the Reins – and in 2018’s attention-span challenged world that's not a bad thing."

  9. Music on Vinyl will reissue Opeth's classic 2008 album 'Watershed' on 3rd August 2018. Individually Numbered Limited Edition of 4000 Gold Vinyl 2LP MOVLP2162 (Barcode 871926006829) I'd imagine there will also be an unnumbered black vinyl edition in keeping with MOV tradition. It's available on Ebay and is listed on Bull Moose but will be available most places shortly no doubt! http://www.bullmoose.com/p/27562163/opeth-watershed-gold-vinyl-ltd-to-4000-2lp-180-gram

  21. just got a shipping notice for my clear deathwish copy. considering i got my kings road copy of new bermuda literally 6 months after the release of the album, this makes me very happy i was able to buy from deathwish this time around.

  22. Mine just shipped from DW. I think it only has to travel like, a mile, so hopefully I’ll have it tomorrow. That’s a lot quicker than New Bermuda!

  24. For some reason, the USPS actually delivered my merchnow order yesterday (Sunday). I gave it a quick spin last night, and it's pretty much exactly what I hoped it'd be. The pressing (transparent purple) was great too -- there is a very slight warp, but it doesn't effect play. Really looking forward to spending some time with this album.

  33. I've been seeing the name Slugdge popping up here and there for a while now and figured they were some corny southern sludge band or something... finally caved and listened to their new album: https://slugdge.bandcamp.com/album/esoteric-malacology and let me tell you they are definitely not sludge, more some kind of prog death which has limited appeal to me also but this is insanely good!

  34. great set, I do recommend the centennial collection over this but you won't find it for that price point. The newer set has better sound quality, less shellac hiss and better sequencing but you can't go wrong with Robert Johnson anyway you can get it
