  3. I've watched several of Vaati's lore videos and definitely trust his opinion. Already preordered the collector's edition from Gamestop, so I'm all in.

  4. That's not to mention that all those bands (and more) are made up of members of the human race, which is the same species that makes up Semisonic. Remember to choose positivity and lift up your brothers and sisters. One love.

  5. The hatred for third man is pretty childish, you are just not getting what you want. it looks like a lot of the copies of the variant will be at their rolling record store at Muddy Roots where Sleep is playing but fuck them for selling them directly to some sleep fans they should have sent one of two more copies to Orlando

  7. It's not really screwing anyone over, although it must be tough on stores that would like to get a variant but don't want 10+ copies. I want to go back to the days of random variants. Most of this now is manufactured demand used to leverage both stores and fans.

  11. I found this listing for a Pork Soda pressing out on 11/2 while browsing Bullmoose. Primus - Pork Soda Interscope is listed as the label, not Plain like the last press. This is also considerably cheaper than the going rate for the Plain pressing. Update 10/4 Bullmoose has the Brown Album up for preorder too. Description says it's a remaster. https://www.bullmoose.com/p/28165825/primus-brown-album-2lp

  12. You can probably feel it already. Amid the shimmering haze of dusk. In the marrow of your bones. The darkness is getting darker. Malevolent forces are on the prowl. The wasteland is beckoning. Uncle Acid is on his way home. A disorientating journey through Kevin Starrs (AKA Uncle Acid)’ wonkiest dreams, Wasteland glides majestically from punchy and direct psych-rock anthems like "I See Through You" and "Shockwave City" to the viscous, somnambulant ooze of the eight-minute "No Return" and the twinkly-eyed bad trip of the album’s mesmerising title track. Recorded at the legendary Sunset Sound studio in Los Angeles, Wasteland boasts the kind on irresistibly raw and exuberant sound that only the greatest bands can generate. Yet more confirmation that Uncle Acid exist in their own musical universe, Wasteland is also a powerful cautionary tale: one rooted in the alien landscapes of Starrs’ imagination, but with a very clear connection to the deranged chaos of today’s political world. As humanity cheerfully circles the plughole, Dystopian visions and present-day horrors have become more-or-less interchangeable, making Wasteland’s ghoulish surrealism a lot more pertinent and disturbing in the process. While most musicians seem content to chase their own (or other people’s tails), Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats remain proud and resolute individualists and Wasteland is simply their most powerful and memorable spurge of creativity to date. Masterfully echoing the magical atmospheres of heavy music’s turbulent past while sounding entirely unlike anything else available to human ears, this is what happens when the shadows come to life and suffocating darkness, Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats style, is the only show in town. 1. I See Through You 2. Shockwave City 3. No Return 4. Blood Runner 5. Stranger Tonight 6. Wasteland 7. Bedouin 8. 16. I don't know why everyone is so mad about this. For The Sciences there were 10,000 green and 1,000 green/black. There's 1,000 of the "aquamarine" variant, so let's say there's a similar "first press" quantity of the balck. That would fit the 10:1 ratio that they're requiring for the colored variant. I dislike a lot about Jack White/TMR and this isn't the coolest of things to do, but it doesn't seem as insane and insulting as some people are making it out to be.

  20. I'm all for this because I'm sure it sounds better than the picture disc, but fuck beans do The Definitive Act. I dont care if the current line up had nothing to do with it.

  21. He wrote My Morning Jacket's songs? That's news to me, where did you see that? And he wrote Weezer's Blue and Pinkerton? Also news to me. For my comment I wasn't shitting on Semisonic per se, but the fact that they would seek $50 for their record.

  22. I agree it hasn't been my favorite year of stuff. But the Moby, Arctic Monkeys and TVOTR were all very well done. Beach House would have been better if it was a different album but the packaging and record look great for that one. I'm also really digging Mitski. But some of the other stuff has been hard to get into and only got 1 listen.

  27. I'm surprised they haven't done a country/Americana side sub and try to reissue big country albums from the 90s and 00s that never got a pressing.

  31. I actually don't mind the production on this one. This is going to be a grower, for sure, but in a good way. You Wind Me Up is probably the only track that gets the one-eyebrow-raise for me.

  38. My big box of like everything came today and holy shit, it has pretty much everything! (21) 12"s, (10) 7"s, (10) Tapes, (1) test press (Taking Meds - - I requested it but I didn't think she'd actually send it..., and 1 banner. Packed like a beast, everything arrived w/ the record outside of the jacket. Not a single piece is damaged. Well worth it!!

  39. Deadpool was entertaining enough for 90 minutes but it's definitely made for 12 year olds. If it was the exact same movie with nothing edited out but got a PG-13 it would've made a billion dollars.

  40. I heard that if your shipping label printed already and they know you downloaded the leak one month early then they won’t take your order to the post office until late September. That’s what you all get for being pirates.

    PO Now: Hovvdy - Cranberry

This has been one of my favorite albums this year. Also for those who missed out on the cranberry color in color, but don't want a black variant, the indie retail variant is just "milky clear" which DDW never advertised that I know of
