  1. So deepdiscount has these for like $18 and they currently have a 15% off coupon so that makes them under $16...

  4. They are self releasing it so who knows what kind of physical release it might have, nothing is mentioned in the pitchfork article. edit: some reddit insider claims they have another record in the can projected for a more traditional release in Q1 2019.

  5. Mogwai now is as good or better than Mogwai 15 years ago. Every Country's Sun is amazing. I get what @holyvacantsholyhell was saying. The last couple Mono records felt rushed and on repeat mode. Bands like Explosions in the Sky, Mogwai, Caspian have all changed their sound up on recent records, and it's been for the better. You can only listen to so many twinkly crescendo post-rock albums... That said, my buddy was in the studio with Mono when they recorded this and said the record sounds very different and energizing compared to what they've recently done. I think the line-up change has been a key part of that.

    I don't like music anymore

@swb brings up a great point. Digging into those artists may actually suit you better because those albums have been battle tested. Dig into (1991) My bloody Valentine - Loveless or hell the entire Beatles catalog post Rubber Soul A lot of music I find from reading/watching interviews of my favorite artists and seeing what they like

  10. It's funny you should say that. I've just recently got into OSTs, but I've found I'm pretty fussy. I searched for ages looking for some ambient/electronic/synthy instrumental music but didn't really find anything that scratched that itch. I can only find stuff like that in soundtracks (The Knick, Mr Robot, Solaris, that kinda thing). Thanks for your reply. Yeah I can really relate to things not meaning anything. I hadn't thought of trying 80s stuff. I'll give that a try. I'm sure there's loads of stuff I'm missing out on there tbh and I'm interested in electronic music too. Thanks for the pointers on where to start. I'll get listening. Thank you.

  22. Can someone explain the progression that they believe is happening? I think it’s good but it just seems like the logical step in their career. I’d say that self titled was a larger album to album leap.

  23. Alice Merton / Mom + Pop webstore - exclusive green/white splatter - https://alicemerton.merchtable.com/pre-orders/alice-merton-mint-vinyl-lp Amazon - green (seems to be the regular pressing?) - http://a.co/d/cIQldcw Bull Moose - "mint white" (presumably indies only?) - https://www.bullmoose.com/p/28134353/alice-merton-mint-mint-white-viny I love her EP and was super impressed by everything when I saw her on her US tour last fall, so I'm quite hyped for this record.

I've never done more than day hikes in the area, but Mt. Hood is beautiful. If you end up being around town a bit I have restaurant and record store recommendations.
