It can mean that, yes. There are some other factors that go into it beyond just compression, but overall this album has a pretty low dynamic range. I put that link to Sleep - Holy Mountain album in there for comparison because it's another album that is pretty low-end heavy, but still has a high DR rating, and the new Nothing album because everyone complained about how flat and compressed it sounded, but it's minimally worse than this record is. I just found the site last night, but it seems very interesting. I'll be visiting it a lot. And actually, if you search Sleep - Holy Mountain, they've got DR for the latest reissue, the OG, and the Earache copy (which was panned pretty much across the board for compression) and the Earache copy really shows how much worse it was.

Maybe a little better than Part One, production-wise and song writing, but Part Two still feels really uninspired. I would have grabbed these at the old Magic Bullet price-points, but I can't seem to pull the trigger on these yet.

I feel this album is as good as How It Feels and Rising Tide, SDRE fans who haven't heard it are missing out! Stoked at the possibility of finally having it on wax.

It does seem really odd for them not to announce it at all considering all of the online preorders that have been out for the past month. But as I've said before there is just way too much money to be made on this terribly overpriced 2 song 12" for them not to press a bunch of them and have some sort of exclusive variant.

Wanting this so badly. It's a release I thought might never see the the light of day on vinyl, so the mere possibility of it happening now is amazing. This could have been the follow up to The Rising Tide, IMO. So damn good, so yes, pass the word and vote on this please. Was fortunate to see them at the Bowery Ballroom also and it was really excellent.

Everyone shat on Wilderness when it first dropped, it seemed, but I immediately dug it more than Take Care, and it’s really continued to age well for me, too. I would be thrilled to see some cuts from it in a live setting. Damn. Regarding new TWDY; I can see how some of the album may go in one ear and out the other. And the qualms with the production are fairly justified. But as someone who was floored by New Topia on the last album, this record channels a lot of those same lofty vibes with the occasional burst of energy. Syncage is next level, for me.
