I often wonder about the potential of the original idea for the Halloween series. To me, it could have been incredible--an anthology series based around the holiday that takes on different tropes within the horror genre sounds amazing. Now, I fail to recognize anything past the third film. I even struggle with 2 but rectify it by saying its more identifiable as a slasher while the first is defined as a thriller. Maybe that sounds snobby of me. But the series just made a mockery of itself after taking itself pretty seriously for three films. Timeline. Lore. Whatever. It's all so messy. And for some reason, that bothers me. The new one says, "Screw it," to all of the past films, but they still exist. I've yet to see the new one, but I will. And I have faith that I will like it for what it is. But talk about wasted potential.

Everyone hates resurrection but I thought it was a fun concept.

That's where I'm at too. Just had our first kid, i'm working on a graduate degree, and I was diagnosed with MS in August so my cup overflows with stuff that takes precedence over listening to records. Eh. The art looks great on all of these, but they could have made them way more special. An etching on the B-side, if they were versions of the songs we hadn't heard before, if they were hand numbered. You know, something more worthwhile for $11. It seems like someone threw this idea out last minute which is a bummer because plenty of albums from Rise's back catalogue would sell well and deserve to be pressed

The jacket is printed on upgraded 24pt stock. Darkest Day’s first press is limited to 1,000 copies worldwide, available on 180gram 2xLP with an elaborate trifold jacket sourced from Dave McKean’s original art files (should be on par with what we did for Horrorscope!) Vinyl variants include black with gray splatter (limited to 300) and “green smoke” (limited to 700). Both albums remastered for vinyl at Sony's Battery Studios. If anyone wants all four variants, we have a bundle that's a lot cheaper than buying them each separately.

Yeah this is another drop in the bucket of “Will I ever own vinyl from this band?” Either it’s always in expensive packages like this, or exclusive to tours I can’t make it to, or just expensive second markets. If it was just the box set I would grab this immediately. I don’t put pins on things, no one would know what they are because it’s just random animals, don’t need a flag, and dot need a laminate for a tour I didn’t attend.

I just picked up this repress of Silent Alarm and would prefer to keep seeking out an original - call it buyer's remorse or whatever you'd like, but I've got a copy to unload and I'm just looking to make my money back on it. $50 PPD, which covers what I paid for it plus the shipping. I spent $40 plus tax on the wax, and figure this'll cost 3 or 4 bucks to ship. It's in NM condition as I only played it once. The corners of the jackets look like they have SLIGHT wear from the shop, but not bent. The insert has a small crease in the middle of it, which is just unfortunately the way it came out of the jacket. call it in the air
