  4. It wasn't the band with the 7" set. But I am sending that shizz off for a full refund. Glad it isn't affecting the band having to return it.

  5. Yeah... I was thrown off by the AUD vs. USD on the Flightless site. D'oh! (love that James Edwards avatar though)

  6. Ok to flip the script & bring some positivity back, this new Swarm of the Sun is really really good. My goodness. It’s like Spurv & Silent Whale put together but a much tighter album than those 2 bands have put out imo.

    Zao Re-issues!

Just got an email from the Zao mailing list "If you ordered a Funeral Of God vinyl last year and want updates there has been an email address set up by Tragic Hero to handle any concerns. They promise it is still happening but any concerns can go to [email protected]."

  10. I have noticed the number fluctuate though (earlier it said around 2500), but hopefully will last until tomorrow.

  11. No not at all. They are gearing up for a new album sometime this year. Perhaps re-releases could be in the cards too, who knows.

  15. Damn, already? Hell yeah, love when a band continues to drop music on a consistent basis.

  17. Holy ever living shit. Stop what you are doing and listen to this song. Album of the year contender if the rest of it holds up to this. https://seeress.bandcamp.com/track/death-will-come-and-it-will-have-your-eyes EDIT: @mrewest and Derek (why can't I @ you?) just check it and see for yourself haha. Those were the only bands that i could think of that shared the same vibe as I Hear Sirens. IHS has more of an edge, but they're all about the feel-good post-rock. Glories would have been a good FFO in there, but I just didn't think of it.

  19. I'll take a full remastering (other than the Chris Bellman cut of Lateralus) of all the albums pressed on plain boring black vinyl, please.

  20. As you know I can dig some “standard crescendo-core” or whatever you wanna call it (Glories, Feed Me to tye Waves) but it has to be interesting. I’ve tried to get into Pray For Sound but I feel like so many bands do what they do so much better. The only parts of ‘Dreamer’ I could get into were the last couple songs that were more ambient sounding. But then ‘Everything Is Beautiful’ is just a snoozefest start to finish. I was hoping they would expand on the end of ‘Dreamer’ but that was clearly an anomaly. Lights and Motion just sucks I’m sorry. They (he?) take the most boring parts or post-rock & turn them into entire albums. It’s like someone saying they love beer but say Michelob Ultra is their favorite.

  24. I've used Pledge quite a lot over the years albeit begrudgingly and can confirm that the items always ended up being more expensive through them then at retail. Most of the bands I've supported through there have either ditched the platform already (Vennart, British Theatre) or disappeared entirely off the map (My Vitriol, iLiKETRAiNS, Sucioperro). Thankfully I don't have any money currently tied up with them having received my last item in October. It may be that kickstarter isn't very user friendly for overseas acts as most of the bands I've seen use Pledge are UK/EU acts but I don't really know. Pledge did allow people the chance to do some inventive things, one band had the offer of meeting them at a pub for a game of scrabble but the world can live without that I imagine. Strikes me that most of you are probably on point that it catered to mostly bands that were once on a label be it big or small and were too uncertain as to handle all the other parts of their business. Even the little guys I supported through it were on labels several years before the record industry took a tumble.
