Pretty unimpressed with all the online retailers trying to sneak their previous RSD titles in at full markup under the 2019 banner. There should be a tightening of the rules that disallows that. Any good store would have blown-out those previous years' titles by now tbh.

To add to that, there are very few sellers or shop-owners that actively participate in the threads they may post, which is something 1234 Go! does every year. Fielding questions, trying their best to provide updates to stock inquiries, etc. It's why they get their own thread in tandem to the RSD one. At the end of the day, sure; a sale is a sale It's a mutual benefit, and the traffic from VC may help to clean up a bit or ensure that there's not too much RSD stock sitting around for ages... but I suspect that it doesn't "make or break" their business. Realistically speaking, opening up their post-RSD sales to our forum isn't something that has to be done. The page could be a single text field where you have to enter in the item you're after, click Search, view results, and then hit Back to restart the process. The checkout process could be buggy and take several attempts. They could not accept Paypal. The entire page could be written in Portuguese and require Google Translator to navigate. But if they're ultimately putting something in your hands that you wouldn't otherwise get, I don't think anyone really has any room to complain or feel entitled. tl;dr – like Sunshine and others have said, we really appreciate everything you do here at VC, @thischarmingham. Especially the transparent communication. I personally did not luck out with your 5 AM sale this year, but I have in the past and it's always a great feeling to obtain something that's eluded you all day.

I just find it unfair when the manchildren on this forum shit on people who are obviously trying their best to make a smooth experience. Both pages were up and clearly labeled long before anyone had to refresh at 5PST and then "navigating" each page consisted of scrolling to the letter of the item you wanted... hilarious. Thanks again for doing this every year!

Interesting. I just spoke with an Amazon rep and asked how they were able to list The Crow, since this was an RSD exclusive and was only attainable thru independent record stores, and the rep told me that Amazon had placed the order directly thru Atlantic catalog Group, which is the publisher of the album, and is due to receive the order in the next month or so.

Warner "lost" an entire shipment of RSD stock when they decided to move warehouses 2 weeks before Record Store Day. This according to my friend who runs the local store. "You think they would've just shipped our orders out BEFORE they moved, but no...." His words. ANYWAY. The Crow was definitely one of the items affected. I wouldn't be surprised if a couple thousand don't arrive in stores until this week, so I'd be patient.

Just talked to Easy Street Records (easystreetonline.com) in West Seattle. They said they planned to have their leftovers up by now, but they can't get in touch with their web guy(?!). They hope to have theirs up in the next hour or so. He said they are out of Robyn, Devo, etc. Said most of what they have is the seeds and stems (my words there), but he said they do of course have some Pearl Jam copies left.

Finally copped private parts on Discogs for cost. And I’m done.

So we're going to have some pretty significant qty's of some RSD heavy hitters in a few hours. We kinda got screwed over by a distributor who for some reason decided to send a couple pallets of stuff Ground instead of Overnight. Our bum out is your stoked! We know exactly how much and of what title are coming so we've listed the inventory. We expect to receive these pallets on Thursday or Friday of this coming week and will jam the orders containing those items out over the weekend as quickly as possible. That said we've got a ton on hand right now too so those orders will leave straight away. We're dealing with a new web store and shipping system so this should go really fast. Thank you so much. I literally worked 24 hours straight yesterday into this morning including a full counter shift slept for 3 hours and got back at it and I've been so stoked on the responses in the shop and from you guys on here. Every year we try to learn from what does and doesn't work and come back stronger the next year and I feel like we've been able to do that going on 10 years running for RSD and 11 as a store. I live about 30 minutes away, and I won't be back there anytime soon, unfortunately. Maybe try calling them and see if they'll let you order one over the phone? Easy Street is sort of "the record store of Pearl Jam," so it's possible they'll do it. When you walk into the store, they have a Pearl Jam corner of the store (shit you not).

This happens every year. People can’t control themselves and panic buy. Almost all RSD titles will be available for MSRP in a few hours. I’ve never missed out on something I really wanted. Patience is the name of the game.
