  1. Also it is definitely illegal to own, my recommendation is to stage a fatal car wreck and start a new life out west

  2. Somewhat related: seeing them Friday and attending the beer release at Coney Island Brewery, so that'll be a hoot. I wanna try to swing by Limited To One, but it's so far from where I'm going to be. I'm also stoked to see ETID for the first time (and Mastodon). Rejoice in pop-prog garbage! <3

  3. If this “Joy Division” band makes good on their name with an album full of upbeat, cheery, feel-good tunes then I’m sure I’ll love it...

  4. Never heard of this guy. Not really my type of music but I took my daughter to see Billie Eilish and he opened. Killer set.

  5. Are the mice credited on the track? Big if true.

  7. Very impressive indeed. But the Strokes beat them to the punch for edgy punk/indie sounds.

  8. Could it be anymore obvious they listened to a lot of Interpol? May as well be their tribute band... EDIT: I have no idea when Interpol started.

  10. Vinyl sounds great to me!

  11. Besides the shipping, all I needed to do was listen to that first track to know I most likely will pass on this just as I did their last release. I guess some bands really shouldn't make more records and just let the past be the past.

  13. FACT: You need to own at least three black vinyl copies of the same album to equal the electrolytes in a single colored vinyl copy.

  15. It's entirely possible to put that much on one LP and have it sound great, it's just a tricky thing to master properly. I have a few single LPs this long or even longer that sound great. Not sure if that will be the case here or not, but it's not automatically a bad thing.

  19. Finally was able to create an account and was able to add the code for the white t shirt in addition to the two 12”. Kinda wished he pressed the leak album. Also, I really hope XL presses a regular 12” of the 2 new tracks. They are great.

  23. Maximum pretentiousness is only achieved after you master and transcend the art of internet sarcasm. (You have a ways to go, don’t worry.)

  24. See, I was just making a joke too – being that some Coheed still resides on my record shelf, after years of pruning nostalgic junk – but I didn’t get hostile about it. In the end I don’t care if you or this fanbase’s tastes are stuck for the worst. One man’s uninspired, cheesy trash prog-pop is another man’s treasure. 🙄 Embrace it.

    Shoegaze/Dream Pop Thread

Had not heard of them, thanks for posting @jhulud They seem to fit best here, though not tagged as such - lots of reverb on the guitars, great vocals. Reminded me to post Be Forest's Audiotree Live session if anyone missed it. Ethereal dreamgaze from Italy, I like their latest even better than Cold. I can't believe how good the minimalism sounds and the guitarist is playing a Squire! Don't know if that's a touring decision to mitigate any potential losses, but it sounds just like the studio. He keeps the same effects pretty much throughout, so you know rather quickly if it's your cuppa. Be Forest - Audiotree Live Session

    PO: Eluvium - Pianoworks

That’s a prettttty insightful review of an album that’s an hour a half and has been out for 8 hours total. Please make sure you continue to share it elsewhere. I think it’ll get your foot in the door of journalism if it hasn’t already.

  29. This is a long time coming, and after taking all the pictures and putting everything away I realized I put albums 2 & 3 out of order, because that's how they were on my shelf. Not gonna let that ruin my day! This is 100% complete other than a Black-Eyed Snakes 7" that may or may not have ever been sold to the public.
