Best news of the week right there. I feel similarly about them, but I'm just glad to see them off RE.

ATIH was always hit or miss for me. The best thing I ever got from them was All Them Witches on orange. On another note, Monolord are now on Relapse? They're releasing something tomorrow. I haven't been that impressed with them with every album after Empress Rising, so we will see if this is a must purchase. Happy for them that they made it off Riding Easy.

I ran into Adam Jones over the weekend at Comic Con, I went up and bugged him for a minute, he was super nice. He showed me the cover of the new album on his phone. It was very 10,000 Day's ish. It looked like spiral of eyes fading into the distance and was that thing hes been doing on his IG thats kind of like a magic eye poster. It looked a lot like the image below but more blue than purple. I was caught off guard seeing him there and forgot to ask about a vinyl release.

Did you check ups too? Mine says the same as yours in usps, but in ups I can see that it'll be delivered to my local post office today. I'll hopefully have it tomorrow. Also the EV poster i grabbed last Thursday is slated to be here tomorrow too which is unusually fast. Guessing they had the posters already tubed up and ready to ship.

I want one of those, or a Furutech Air Tight disc flattener. Preferably one of the later models that will fix later LP pressings with no groove guard. VERY high priced, but I have a LOT of records, a LOT of them are sealed. And, I have a handful of very rare ones that are warped. I will just listen to my other records until I have the cash. 🤑

due to the length of the record if it was made any louder it would have distorted everything unfortunately. had the band been thinking of vinyl back then a song probably would have been axed. just turn it up

well, we couldn't do a 1000 pressing, the rights holders have a minimum (which needs to be paid 100% up front or they won't release the rights to the pressing plant) so it would be a very large "need to fund" cost. The plus side is, once the deal of splitting the pressing was worked out, the turnaround time was about 2.5-3 months. so if we did a crowd funding thing with a set amount, if people's cards or whatever are charged, the turnaround would be more like a normal pre-order. We won't hold up new material, have a new album before end of year and a double early next year. no worries there.

Black records being undesirable because they don't look as cool on Instagram is pretty dumb.

It is almost certainly me. I'm hoping these guys can make it back to NC some time soon. I saw them at Beyu Cafe in Durham and there are several bands that play the Pour House in Raleigh that they would be no-brainers to get on a bill with (Jonathan Scales Fourchestra out of Asheville and we get Snarky Puppy side projects ALL the time including the amazing Ghost-Note)

Very cool! I've seen these dudes a couple of times and love their sound. That song Cairo (not on this album) sounds like a Herbie/Headhunters song. Thanks for giving the heads up that this is on vinyl finally. Hopefully you guys end up releasing GrownFolk because that's some good shit!
