Extreme Metal Releases and Pre-orders

Yeah, I'm now terrified that I ordered this and forgot, but I don't think I did. Time to go back to using the Waiting tab on my spreadsheet.2 points -

I super disagree with all of this. Not only is Josh a founding member, he hasn’t released anything really (bedsides maybe a single digitally) to be “profiting” from it. You said it yourself. Also this single sounds very TTA, and picks up right where “Immolate Yourself” left off. They (I say “they” because Cooper also wrote Immolate) haven’t sounded like they did during “FFE” in years. This new track captures the new direction they were going perfectly imo. The single is great and I’m super excited for this record.2 points

Not being a TTV fan previously, I quite like the new direction. Also seems you're reading a bit into him still using the name. It could just be in honor of his highschool friend that he started a band with... the name and band has always been half his, so, sounds like he's free to do with the name what he wants. /shrug2 points

PO is up on KRM : https://eu.kingsroadmerch.com/metal-blade/artist/?id=960 US PO will be up lately https://www.metalblade.com/cultofluna/ Cult of Luna "The Silent Man" (A Dawn to Fear pt. 1) On September 20th, Cult Of Luna will release their new album, A Dawn to Fear - the band's first material under their sole name since 2013's Vertikal 1&2. Building on twenty years of creating some of the most epic, emotive and inventive heavy music unleashed on the world, there is no denying that Cult Of Luna's A Dawn To Fear is a monster of a record. An album comprised of eight tracks running seventy-nine minutes, it embodies everything the band's faithful have come to expect from them while covering new ground. "Going into the process, we knew the album we wanted to make, an antithesis of what we've done before," says vocalist/guitarist and lead songwriter Johannes Persson. "For pretty much every album there's been a very concrete theme. We've known from the start the kind of story we wanted to tell, and I didn't want that to be the case. I've seen a lot of subtle changes and patterns in my own behavior and my own thinking the last couple of years, and I wanted this to be a completely spontaneous process. I just wanted to see what came out of me, and 'A Dawn To Fear' is the result of that."1 point

https://www.mergerecords.com/seeker Theres a deluxe version with a 12" on Red/ Yellow swirl and the the album on Green black swirl. You're basically just buying a bonus 12" over the std black pressing. Shipping is free though. Songs rules. He's backed by the Freedom Band (including Ty) on this.1 point -

Agreeed, Shame that the internet shitlords keep giving her crap about her past that a) no longer applies and b) is demonstrably false and the whole Google thing that just happened where her accounts were suspended for the most important time after the debates and other fuckery is proof that she's got a huge mountain to climb, but she pretty much has my vote for the primaries Honestly after all the posturing and pandering that is done, she seems to be one of the only ones with a level head and some decent ideas. Including you know.. stopping the regime change wars.1 point -

The Great Wight was one of those bands I caught up to last year and couldn't stop spinning their album, The Suburbs Have Ruined My Life. Turns out they changed their name recently to Proper. and signed to BSM and their new album, I Spent the Winter Writing Songs About Getting Better, is up for pre-order at https://bsmusa.limitedrun.com/products/647996. If it's anything close to the last one it's an early contender for my AOTY. The old album is also available under the new and old band names at http://www.oldpressrecords.com/products/637432-proper-the-suburbs-have-ruined-my-life.1 point

Post a PIC Of Your Collection (Band or Label ONLY)
texan4life reacted to SeeMoreGlass for a topic
Here is an update on my The Wonder Years collection. I've been collecting their stuff since I first heard the band in 2010 and The Upsides helped me make some serious life decisions. I justify this because I love supporting the band that helped me change my life for the better. Some of these have been pretty tricky to find and I still have a few more to go but I got some free time and figured I would do it anyway. I don't collect Test Presses only because they are way too expensive and I could never get my hands on one let alone all of them. Also, for the record releases, I count it as one variant so I don't have multiples for The Greatest Generation or The Upsides. I have gotten a TON of help from people on VC, Dead Format and Discogs so huge thanks to the vinyl community. Hope you guys dig it. The Upsides Suburbia: I've Given You All And Now I'm Nothing The Greatest Generation No Closer To Heaven Sister Cities Glamour Kills Comp/Sleeping On Trash/Burst And Decay/Others 7"s CD's and Extras As far as I know, I am only missing these from The Wonder Years The Wonder Years - Sister Cities - Shinjuku Street Splatter And these from Aaron West And The Roaring Twenties Aaron West And The Roaring Twenties - We Don't Have Each Other - Blue/White Swirl Aaron West And The Roaring Twenties - Routine Maintenance - Blue/White Swirl Tour Variant (Sold out the day before my tour date : ( Hit me up if you think I am missing anything or if you have any of these you want to sell...1 point -
