I made the same point about the book earlier in the thread. It's annoying. The book is fuckin cool but you seriously can't read any of it. I don't get the design decision on that part. It's a shame because it's all so awesome. White pages with white lettering...

I'm not sure you know what entitled means. When you purchase something, you're not being entitled for wanting to receive that item in a reasonable time frame. They were obviously chill enough to wait it out. The point about the book being hard to read is valid, but it's art and I think that the OP appreciates it in that sense. As far as it being unnecessary baggage, well, yeah... Buy the standard edition. But still, don't gotta be so mean about it.

First album for 5 years, expected around 31 Jan. There is a black/gold splatter dinked edition limited to 500 which comes in an exclusive sleeve with signed & numbered 12" x 12" print + lyric booklet. There is also a signed gold indies version exclusive from Rough Trade, which I assume is a signed cover and not just a print. I believe all physical copies have the 4th track as BOYFRIEND, where the digital version is the skit EXACTLY WHAT YOU RUN FROM YOU END UP CHASING. The song has the skit at the end of it.

Like Derek, if I’m not going for something specific, it’s a safe bet BM will be stocking the indie and black variants and get it to me on or before release day. They aren’t shy about shipping something out on a Tuesday or Wednesday that is released Friday.

I don't have a test press of this record. I had everything else up to Mimi....but kind of fell off at that point and didn't get all the variants. Been being more selective on what I go all in on getting any more.

My copy arrived last week from the Kapitan, gorgeous packaging and stellar pressing. One of the very few cases where the final product looks exactly like the mock-up. Very well done guys, this is a banger!

I get it. I love and appreciate all of these bands. Rosetta and Mouth of the Architect are among my favorites as well. But what Cult of Luna has done impresses me the most on a gut impact level, and I also think that in comparison to the reverence many people have for Isis and Neurosis in particular, CoL is a bit underrated.

I’ve also been looking for this record for a long time and have messaged them as well. They tell me it’s too much of a risk to send it overseas. I mean, I get it but, it’s not like we are talking hundreds of dollars at stake here. Currently holding out for a US seller. Heck, Canada even. Good luck on OP’s search as well.

This has been the case for a while. Before "Salvation" got repressed, OG copies were going for $100+ on Discogs. I nearly pulled the trigger myself. He kind of has a point though. It could be that Cult of Luna is continuing to grow and write great music while the Isis catalog stays put.... but I see where he's coming from. Isis is inherently independent.... their material stands alone, but they do a different thing. They went for the cosmic groove where the universe swallows itself up and you're blasted out of a cannon into a psilocybe cosmic vortex with all these hypnotic, low-dynamic grooves (ie: So Did We, The Beginning and the End, Weight). Cult of Luna does it but in like, a loud sense. Same intensity, different dynamic levels. Also False Light still makes me want to punch walls and pick up change like when I was 16. TL;DR----- Isis and Cult of Luna rule. Also, Rosetta.

but then what store do they come from? why do some stores call their LP a different color name then the hype sticker says the same color name. why does blink sell every color from their store where as these other stores are selling exclusive colors that aren't exclusive just have a different name. this has to be the most botched vinyl release...only I could compare it to is when a label call MTS mightier the swords were releasing a album by a band named blink... ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh this is a blink 182 release.
