  2. The band just confirmed on their Facebook that their Atlantic Records backcatalog (Casually Dressed, Hours, and Tales...) will be (re)pressed on vinyl soon. That just made my day.

  3. https://store.rhino.com/exclusives/final-hours-at-hammersmith-2lp-transparent-blue-vinyl.html Got a little excited when I stumbled upon this because I thought it was a repress of Hours on blue vinyl. But it's the first vinyl pressing of the CD only live album of the last show of the Hours tour back in 2006. Hopefully this leads to a vinyl pressing of Tales Don't Tell Themselves on vinyl, which is the last FFAF album I need on vinyl. I'd like to think this isn't Warners/Rhino trying to capitalize on the FFAF reunion shows at the end of this month but...

  4. Oh, in related news, Phoebe just finished up her new album, so we should expect that PO soon. Fucking stoked for that. I listen to Stranger In The Alps all the time.

  8. I have too and it was fine and I know not everyone gets the bad experience, even with very bad retailers with much worse reputations. I was just thinking aloud as my time, energy, and purchases are more limited these days and the potential for a bad customer service experience feels more daunting when you're no longer in your prime vinyl buying shape. 😊

  10. Never had a problem with them, myself. Actually, their records are usually packed like tanks, so I'd expect few problems to begin with. I hope this stays readily available. Good chance Dead Oceans or BOCC webstores might have something too. Just not yet. I was literally refreshing POS and Zia.

  12. This is a Music On Vinyl release. Will be available through all the usual MOV retailers, probably for a little less than SRC. https://www.musiconvinyl.com/catalog/billy-talent/billy-talent#.XZ-ZrBYpCaM

  13. Get on down has generally been a miss in quality for me. But this is still good for whoever doesn't have an original or the repress they did for RSD. Still waiting on when the smoke clears to get a repress

    RSD Black Friday 2019

Plaid Room has an exclusive Grant Green LP on blue wax for Record Store BFD: https://www.plaidroomrecords.com/products/prrexclusivegrantgreen Plaid Room Exclusive - Grant Green - Sunday Mornin' (limited to 1000) Anyone who knows us knows that we have a huge soft spot for Blue Note Records, as many do. My introduction to jazz was through artists like Lee Morgan, Herbie Hancock, and especially Grant Green. So it gives us great pleasure to announce a Plaid Room Exclusive blue vinyl pressing of Grant Green's "Sunday Mornin'". It's never been reissued and we are pressing 1000 copies on blue vinyl for Black Friday. It's not an official RSD release for Black Friday, so it will only be available from our store and pre-orders are live now! - Recorded by Rudy Van Gelder - Lacquers cut by Kevin Gray from the original analog tapes - Plated and pressed at RTI - 180g pressing, housed in a Stoughton "old-style" tip-on jacket, rice paper inner sleeve - Limited edition of 1000 copies on blue vinyl, exclusive to Plaid Room Records When Kevin was cutting these lacquers, he said, "Rudy's sound doesn't get any better than this, it really doesn't." He would know, he has cut more blue Note lacquers than anyone in the world! If you're not familiar with the record, check it out on streaming services, it's killer!

  17. I don't think cartoon network released it, but they may have aired it on their network. I have it on vhs and cassette. I might pick it up but it's not a must have for me

  18. After reading your reports from this festival, I realized I hardly know any of those bands. Can't believe how much music I do overlook nowadays, especially taking into account that huge part of my vinyl is post-rock. Seems like I have to refresh this shelf with new tunes after I got tired a bit with "generic post-rock" and "try to find new way with electronics" bands I have known. Thanks for this!
