  2. I only made it halfway through. "I'm a one-way ticket on a nowhere bus." Get the fuck outta here. I'm officially embarrassed that I ever liked this band, and the 241 in my username is a fucking Reel Big Fish reference!

  3. This is possibly the most batshit criticism of anything I've ever heard. I know PJ fans are crazy, but are people seriously saying to themselves "I don't see any US dates today, guess I better book my airline tickets to Krakow"?

  5. Hey everyone we have an announcement to make.... we're expecting! Expecting to make your Record Store Day better this year. We are excited to announce a second pressing of the soundtrack to cult classic The Room. There will be 100 white copies exclusive to Wiseau Films with a release date TBD. But indie stores will be getting the deluxe edition with reimagined artwork, reprint of the original promotional poster for the film, a foreword by Tommy himself, and one more surprise you'll have to see for yourself these will be limited to 500 and will look pretty much like this:

  6. Yeah there’s no way to really do that As much as we would love to it’s impossible to please everyone! Fairest way is to announce the order time, limit to one per household, and let it go! Anyway, it’s still technically Drive-Thru’s release so I can only suggest what we would do.

  7. I was at that show in Bloomington too! They had two complete drum sets on stage. One of my favorite shows ever!

  8. id suggest just posting them up at a random time and giving this place a couple minutes head start. announcing a time and date for such low quantities is a good way to waste a lot of peoples time which then turns into a lot of unhappy potential future customers.

  9. I saw them in 2005 as well in Bloomington, IN. It was post the i'm wide awake tour I think, because it was a wide mix of songs dating back to letting off the happiness and a couple new songs that would later be on Cassadaga. It was actually one of the best concerts I've been to. They had like 13 people on stage, harp and all. Conor was shit faced and I was a 14 year old in the 4th row losing my mind. (I originally had balcony seats and the venue let me swap mine to sit next to a friend who was buying their ticket and hooked it up)

  10. Deluxe vinyl reissue and tour coming soon. POLARIS TO EMBARK ON “21ST CENTURY TOUR” IN SPRING AND SUMMER 2020 MUSIC FROM THE ADVENTURES OF PETE & PETE TO RECEIVE DELUXE REISSUE TREATMENT ON VINYL “The Band That Lives Inside Your TV” are back! Polaris, the house band from cult-classic Nickelodeon show The Adventures of Pete & Pete, are escaping from your childhood television set and busting out on a national tour for only the second time ever. Polaris are Mark Mulcahy (Muggy), David McCaffrey (Jersey), and Scott Boutier (Harris). The three were longtime bandmates in underground favorite Miracle Legion, who’ve also reunited in recent years. Post-Polaris, Mulcahy went on to start an eclectic solo career, becoming one of the most celebrated and revered songwriters making records today. McCaffrey and Boutier played bass and drums together in several acts including Frank Black and the Catholics. The “21st Century Tour” will find Muggy, Jersey and Harris venturing out to 14 US cities between May and August. They’ll bring a mix of Polaris and Miracle Legion songs, plus some surprises to the sets. These shows will be the first since the band’s highly successful “Waiting for October Tour” in 2014-15, a jaunt across the country that found a generation of now grown-up Nickelodeon fans singing along to every word. The joyful reunion tour culminated in the beautifully recorded and packaged Live at Lincoln Hall double album. In addition to touring, Polaris’ hit vinyl record, Music from the Adventures of Pete & Pete, will be receiving a special reissue to mark the occasion. The release will be a deluxe vinyl package, including a CD of original demos dating between 1992-95, liner notes from Pete & Pete co-creator Will McRobb, and a complete album lyric sheet. It’s the ultimate edition of a record that Consequence of Sound called “a collection of songs that perfectly capture the confusion, whimsy, and wonder of adolescence.” The “21st Century Tour” begins on May 14th in Pawtucket, RI, at The Met and wraps up on August 8th in Maquoketa, IA, at Codfish Hollow. See below for the full itinerary, and keep an eye out for additional dates and news from Mezzotint.com as more information becomes available. 2020 Polaris Tour Dates May 14 - The Met - Pawtucket, RI May 15 - Gateway City Arts - Holyoke, MA May 16 - Space Ballroom - Hamden, CT May 29 - The Foundry - Philadelphia, PA May 30 - Mercury Lounge - New York, NY June 4 - The Sinclair - Boston, MA July 7 - The Crocodile Seattle, WA July 8 - Mississippi Studios, Portland, OR July 10 - The Chapel - San Fran, CA July 11 - The Hi Hat - Los Angeles, CA July 12 - Soda Bar - San Diego, CA Aug 6 - 7th St Entry - Minneapolis, MN Aug 7 - Lincoln Hall - Chicago, IL Aug 8 - Codfish Hollow - Maquoketa, IA

  11. True Body are a band based out of Richmond, Virginia who formed in 2015. Their sound is a distillation of the eclectic community they call family - denizens of the hardcore and punk spheres, powerful trans thinkers and magicians, soldiers of techno and other various dance musik disciplines. Their debut LP, Heavenly Rhythms for the Uninitiated, is due out on April 3rd via Funeral Party Records, sees a refining their post-punk sound to include shades of goth, synth-pop, and more. Coming on the heels of vocalist Isabella Moreno-Riaño's recent collaboration with SRSQ, Heavenly Rhythms establishes without a doubt True Body's place among a rising scene of dark pop provocateurs. 12. Yeah but I think those singles were indicative of the direction they were going, after they nixed the “Kids” from their band name. It was through that new style that I determined that CO is not for me, personally. Not saying that the new stuff is more (or less) true to the style of their last 2 albums... but I’m also the last person to ask about that. Regardless of how you feel about the single, we can at least agree that those single LP prices are pretty fucked, I think?

  27. I would really believe in RATM and the message if they donated all the money they are getting to play Coachella to organizations. This is a huge crash grab and that lineup and festival is the exact opposite of what this band should be doing in 2020
