    PO: Covet - Technicolor

http://store.triplecrownrecords.com/products/665409-covet-technicolor Release Date: June 12th, 2020 Vinyl Pressing Info Pre-order exclusive: 180 gram Black – 200 pressed Pre-order exclusive: Blue/Green vinyl 300 pressed Purple – 1500 pressed Sound and color echo one another. As colors add vibrancy and depth to art, sounds do the same for music. When the palette widens in both cases, the vision does as well. covet magnify their musical palette on their second full-length album, technicolor . The San Francisco, CA trio—Yvette Young [guitar, vocals], David Adamiak [bass], and Forrest Rice [drums]—temper their signature instrumental ebb-and-flow with guitar pedal sorcery, feverish tremolo-picking, whammy bar dips, and a dreamy vocal lull. As such, these ten tracks canvas an entire sonic spectrum. Vinyl Track Listing A Side atreyu parachute predawn nero B Side ares parrot odessa farewell CD / Digital Track List 1. 5. Don’t get me wrong that Holy Fawn EP is fantastic in itself. I was just saying that’s how much I like Spotlights to say it’s better than that.

  6. This has been handled terribly by the label. However, Fallon's management provided information directly to the DimeStoreSaints admin that there are only two variants: translucent orange (standard) and honey/caramel (indie exclusive). The most inexplicable blunder is having the indie variant be described variously as "honey" or "caramel" depending on the region. If these are in fact that same variant pressed at the same plant (which, according to management, is the case) it was really dumb to sow this kind of confusion by having two different names for it. The other blunder is picking translucent orange as the standard version without adequately communicating to distros and retailers about it. The resulting confusion was very predicable. I think distros and stores are just assuming that the standard version is black. Adding to the confusion is that the supposedly "standard" version looks very similar to the indie exclusive. Of course, it's possible that the label provided incorrect information and that there is in fact, a black pressing. However, I think there would be proof of a black pressing at this point and I have not seen it.

ETR seems like the most logical place to cash in on this. Though, I'd love to see a -core label do it. Like Triple B just churning out Joe Exotic LPs. Also, I actually went to Joe Exotic's GW Zoo in July 2017, when visiting my buddy who lived in OKC at the time. If you guys have any weird questions about it, I'll try to answer them, best I can. I didn't meet Joe, but I did meet the one-armed zookeeper. Price to enter the zoo was between $20-30, I think. Playing with tiger cubs was between $60-80 on top of entrance fee. We didn't spend the additional money to do that. The three of us were like the only people there that day, was around lunch on a Thursday or Friday. It was an incredibly eerie place to be. Very poorly kept up. The gift shop was the highlight. It's just as hilarious as depicted in the doc.

I'm sure ETR has already sent some emails about it.

  11. They throw whatever shit they have lying around in the pressing machines for bootlegs. It's typical to have them all be different. You're a dick for getting a refund after saying you don't care about what the pressing is though.
