  1. Almost finished with my first listen. What a jammer! I don't want to jump to any conclusions, but this will definitively be a contender for AOTY for me personally.

  2. Based on this post, I think the signed print is cover art, which fucking RULES imo. Can't wait to get this one

  3. Merch Direct is Beck’s company so it wouldn’t be surprising if the design staff is the same. The glassjaw/Deftones tour 20 years ago to support white pony was so sick. Would for sure love to see a second round.

  6. Hi everyone! I’m launching a qrates campaign to get my latest album onto vinyl! https://qrates.com/projects/20854-nautilus Nautilus is an album of vaporwave/chillwave/lofi/downtempo inspired by various video games and anime from the polygon era. It is the soundtrack to playing PlayStation in your parents basement in the late 90s, past midnight basking in the incandescent light from a tube tv. I would love to have it be available on vinyl, pressed on a perfectly fitting pink splatter record. This campaign is for a limited run of 100 copies and hopefully you can help make it happen! It's available for FREE download on my bandcamp here: https://mysistersfugazishirt.bandcamp.com/album/nautilus

  7. Yeah the show was pretty awesome. Honestly that whole day ruled. I was at an afternoon Sabres game. They were down by 2 with a minute left. Pulled the goalie, got 2, and beat them in overtime. To non hockey folks, that NEVER happens! Then I hoped in the car and drove directly to the show in Toronto about 2 hours away. Since the game went to overtime I got there a little later than I would have liked and just missed the tour variant. But the game ruled, the show ruled, everything is a little give and take I suppose. That being said I’d still love to find a colored/limited variant. If anybody’s got a link for that new red guy please share!

  8. I’m 35, and I like all types of music(take a look at all the time and money I’ve wasted over the last 25 years by clicking the link below), and personally, I fuck with NFG and, probably, always will. It’s weird. I can liken it to Blink. I’m from San Diego and one of the first “punk” records I bought in 1995 was Cheshire Cat. From then on, I’ve always loved them, everything they’ve put out. Yeah, fucked, right? NFG, for me, is the epitome of “if it ain’t broke...”. Is that problematic or strange when 40 year old dudes are still making pop punk music 20 years later? I don’t really know, or do I care. They’re doing something they’ve always done, and always done well. For me, “generic pop punk” is all of these bands from the last 10-15 years who start as something, change, go back(or whatever. You know the bands) and never really have or had anything. Nostalgia aside, NFG has been able to be a band that’s able to put out records for 20 years, people are stoked on it, and they still sell out 1k cap rooms, and I really respect and like that. Don’t mind me though, I spent all day drinking, none of this probably made any sense.

  9. Jealous that you made it to the show, fuck the vinyl. I didn’t make the same mistake with BOCC.

  10. I’ve been to a couple of the Attic shows (looooove that venue) and the Palm Beach show they did after the summer tour last year. I sure it’ll come straight out of the board.

  11. On the facebook or instagram post about it, someone posted something along those lines and Anberlin responded saying that would be a reasonable expectation, so looks like that may be the case. I think everyone was just surprised that Blackmarket was the album chosen after they did the poll on their website. Yea, they've been doing all these streams at The Attic in Ybor (Tampa), so no reason it won't sound like a live studio recording. I caught their acoustic show a couple years ago at the Attic in person and it was top notch. IF the streaming audio is what somehow gets pressed on to vinyl instead of the direct feed from the soundboard/rig (I would hope they have a Pro Tools rig or similar to record), well that would be a big facepalm all around. It'll just sound cleaner than the NYC live shows since theirs no audience like you said.

  14. I honestly don't know, but I DO like them. It doesn't really make sense, like why it's so sought after. I think it has to do with a physical connection, on some subconscious level.

  16. Someone got a signed print where she wrote "I love you -Phoebe" on it instead of just a sig. Maybe there are a bunch of differently signed prints? That would be neat of her. Regardless, she's cool as fuck and this album rules.

Nothing says eco friendly better than pressing 15,000 copies of your entire catalog that's all already available and in print.

  20. They HAVE to be routing things to St. Louis on purpose. That's three of us that have had the same exact thing happen. Gets to destination Detroit and then goes to Missouri only to come back here. It's too specific to be an accident. Mine arrived back in Detroit 5 days ago and has been in transit since...hopefully to Pontiac and not back to St. Louis or I'm not gonna be happy. It only took 11 days to go from LA to Detroit, but it's now been almost a full 4 weeks since it got to Detroit the first time. I'm patient, but that's unacceptable, even in these crazy times.

    Rise Records BOGO sale

The OM pressing is surprisingly nice in both color and sound. Can't believe how well that album holds up a decade later.

  25. You are correct about the cease and desist letters. In general, in this day and age, video game boots tend to be labors of love by genuine fans, and great care is taken with not only the audio but the visual package and extras, stickers, prints. I have very rarely been disappointed, most often I'm floored by the presentation, and if the sound is bad it's usually a lathe cut. That said, this Tony Hawk boot doesn't seem to have the same love and care. Seems hastily made, and it somehow looks like it will sound bad. I still want it though.

  27. You probably have the 180g black version of the album. I believe that is what retail shops were getting in. I'd open it up and check.

  28. Here's a record worth checking out ASAP: the new Valdrin. As of now, there are still some of the splatter variant available to those willing to pay for international shipping (like I am). This album slays. http://bloodharvestrecords.bandcamp.com/album/effigy-of-nightmares
