  1. Hmmm... When I contacted VMP about my damaged jacket, providing images and details, they responded with a $10 store coupon, saying they would not offer of a replacement.

By the way, it was discussed some earlier in the thread, but those recent pressings of those four albums by the pillows are really really good! Definitely costly to get, but I had to grab 'em while I had the chance. I used to listen to them so much and those albums are all classics.

    Video Game OSTs v2.0

I don't understand this release set. Is this just a repressing of the past Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 OST's from Brave Wave? I see Limited Run is partnering with Brave Wave so it must be so. I already have the colored versions of the first press though. I genuinely love these games (the Dreamcast ones).

  11. Thank you! Just a PSA to everyone, covid originally gave me some fantastic free time to free up my collection, and devote a lot of much needed attention to this site. Between work picking back up, and things happening at home that demanded my attention, I've lost my ability to be able to properly pack up and ship records in a timely fashion. The for sale thread is absolutely still going, but the one thing I ask is patience. I will absolutely not finalise a deal and accept payment without being sure I can send everything out within a day or two. Please keep getting in touch, and please forgive me if I take some time getting back to you. I'm 100% here, but good God, things got crazy since I initially started this thread.

  12. Big Rig was a very short lived project from Jesse Michaels (Operation Ivy, Common Rider, Classics of Love), Doug Sangalang (Screw 32, Limp, One Time Angels), Kevin Cross (The Nerve Agents, Pitch Black), Jeremy Goody (Pitch Black) and Brandon Riggen. The band rose and fell in 1993. They played a single show and left behind a demo and this EP which was originally on Lookout Records in 1994. We are extremely proud to be able to reissue this EP. This is a vastly under appreciated piece of east bay punk, a hidden gem of the Lookout catalog and personally one of my favorite records. Weā€™re producing 1000 total copies housed in a faithful reproduction of the original 8 panel booklet/sleeve. http://1234gorecords.com/1234goreleases/bigrig

  15. I got a Mono Pet Sounds 1st Press at a junk store in a defunct Outlet Mall. The store was called Treasure Hunt. The LP was VG+++ and $7 USD. I felt like I stole that record when the teenage cashier bagged it up. I looked around like I was about to be Punk'd, but I made a beeline straight to my car like I just shoplifted it. I spent $10 with a guy from a Craistlist ad and got 40 records for $0.25 USD each. All US first presses. The haul included: Beatles - '65, Rubber Soul, Revolver, Sgt Peppers (w/all inserts), White Album (w/All Inserts) Billy Joel - about 10 1st press albums including the Stranger (my fave). Several Stones albums Assortment of other stuff. I also have a friend that works at a music archive. They only have enough archive room to keep triplicates at most, so a couple times a year they have a (not-open-to-the-general-public) record sale. Any record is $1. I have spent a few hundred $$$$ over the years to get all sorts of goodies. $1 for All Things Must Pass (including poster). $1 for Eric Clapton Crossroads box set. All kinds of amazing things. I can usually sell one or two records each time to make up for my purchase costs. I love collecting records.

  16. I am glad I ordered from Barnes and Noble. Mine came in with some ring wear and dings. They shipped a replacement immediately and I sent the one I got in back with the UPS label they provided. Now THAT'S customer service!

  19. Starflyer 59 - Everybody Makes Mistakes for $8 on eBay in ~2008 because the seller didnā€™t have the band name in the listing. Found it through sheer chance browsing based on other things they had listed. The vinyl was in great condition but the sleeve was pretty beat. Then 2-3 years ago Velvet Blue found some extra sleeves in a box and put them up for sale for a few bucks, so I basically have a mint copy for under $20. It was a $50 record when I bought it and a >$150 record in recent years. I sold the Paper + Plastick pressing of funā€™s Aim & Ignite for like $150 which I bought the day it went up for preorder. Not sure I could ever sell a record for more than that even if it was worth more, I think it would stress me out.

  24. My two copies from VMP arrived today. No seam splits, but the corners got smashed up. The bubble wrap protects the tops and bottoms fine, but does nothing to protect the corners. When paying around $40 for each one, would expect to have them in nicer condition.
