  5. Confirmed that this is made to order. Got an email saying that they are taking down all merch and vinyl down at 11:59PM EST on Wednesday. Wonder if they'll inflate the order a bit to get a whole number. Either way hopefully this will stave flipping on this one. Course nothing stopped that from destroying the Last of Us boxset that was also made to order.

"I've been seeing the past in one eye and the present in the other." Sorely missed opportunity if one of those LPs isn't slightly darker than the other.

  13. Just send him nudes of your mom. THEN give him a piece of your mind. Seems easy enough! Everyone keeps nudes of their moms. Amirite!? Guys...?

  14. Originally in the photo, he was holding the test press like it was a paper plate and he was in line for supper. Nothing but thumbs and fingers all over the vinyl. The description Also said there was 12 copies made because the matrix number was 00012. His description have been edited multiple times. I’m not even sure he knew he only had 1/2 of the album at first.

  17. As I look through this thread, I'm seeing a lot of comments about people getting damaged orders from VMP. That's a bummer.

  18. Same here with not having received Bolt Cutters from VMP yet. I haven't reached out yet, though. Was just giving it more time.

By the way, it was discussed some earlier in the thread, but those recent pressings of those four albums by the pillows are really really good! Definitely costly to get, but I had to grab 'em while I had the chance. I used to listen to them so much and those albums are all classics.

  23. Hey friends! We are down in the studio finishing up album 2. It's coming together really, really well. I wanted to share a clip from our last live stream, though, because I think it's right up all of your alleys https://youtu.be/u0hRk-uuWqw

  24. Thanks. Yeah, I have seen that button before, but did forget to look there, and looked there later after posting. That definitely is helpful info. The last one was $240 and NM condition. Maybe similar to mine. I'm guessing somewhere between 200-250 for mine. I think I'll be holding onto it for now anyways. I like The Toadies a lot. Was more just curious, and had never noticed it being a rare piece before. Unless I lose my job or something happens where I am hurting for money. I also just noticed last week that I have a US orange vinyl release of GNR Spaghetti Incident, that I forgot I had. I see that one too is around the 90-100 area. I need to take the time and look closer at my 90's items. In that CD heavy era, vinyl was pressed less.

  25. True. I've seen some stores give the option when purchasing, which is nice: a) Do you want them shipped sealed and risk split seams? or b) Ship them unwrapped, with the record outside of the sleeve?

  26. I actually got the B&N edition too, and it made it over just fine. No damage of any kind. B&N was actually better protected in the packaging than VMP.

  27. I get that point. However, one could make the argument that it could have been packaged better to protect the corners. The box wasn't that badly smashed in. I've seen better packaging methods used than what they used. Theirs wasn't horrible, but could be better. I know this isn't their policy, but I could see a compromise being a fair resolution. Maybe not get a replacement, or even a 100% refund, but maybe a partial refund (again, they cost over $40 each), or a store credit of a certain amount. That way the label / artist doesn't take much (or any) of a hit, and the customer is taken care of some. It may benefit them too to do something to take care of the customer, because if a customer is totally rejected, he/she could open a credit card dispute, which would cost the store even more. The store would have to pay a chargeback fee, even if the dispute goes in favor of the store. Not an action I intend on taking, but is something for the store to consider.

  28. Well, their store policy says this: Cosmetic issues including: Seam splits (on the jackets or internal sleeves) Dinged or bent corners Miscellaneous print defects and other imperfections While a bummer to get things with minor cosmetic damages, we generally do not send full replacements for these types of issues (unless it is severe).

  29. My two copies from VMP arrived today. No seam splits, but the corners got smashed up. The bubble wrap protects the tops and bottoms fine, but does nothing to protect the corners. When paying around $40 for each one, would expect to have them in nicer condition.

  30. Yeah, was about to answer my own question. I see none for sale currently, but had this info: Last Sold: 27 May 20 Lowest: $141.00 Median: $237.65 Highest: $352.94 Mine isn't sealed, but would consider it in NM condition, and again, with original hype sticker (whatever that adds to it's worth). Was probably only played once or twice. It's in great shape and stored well. Not much shelf wear.

    Shower Farts

We moved into a new house last August and the en suite has one of those shower stalls with a glass door... you know the kind. Tonight I let one go in it. A really good one. The sound bounced off of the 3 walls and the glass door as if it was a song sung by 100 angels. God bless.

  33. bubble wrap/stiffeners can prevent seam splits in most cases, but they try to cut down on overhead. I got my black copy from the FA store today, still waiting on the VMP. I wish I had gone through the hassle and cancelled I could have bought a pearl copy for less than the price of the black and got it a week sooner, it is what it is though

  34. Every album I've ordered from them has had a seam split. I would much prefer them shipping the record outside of the sleeve. Labels do it all the time with their new releases. 🤷‍♂️

  35. I’m not opposed to factories not shrink wrapping records and just putting everything in a sealed perforated baggie like a RTI/QRP release, leaving records outside the sleeve.
