  2. Killed it at Goodwill today on some classic rock stuff and a few bonuses. Eddie Kendricks - Goin Up In Smoke George Harrison - S/T John & Yoko/Plastic Ono Ban - Some Time In New York City Blondie - S/T The Doors - The Soft Parade Lynyrd Skynyrd - Street Survivors (promo) Beach Boys - L.A. Fleetwood Mac - Rumours (can never pass this album up for some reason.) Frank Sinatra - Come Fly With Me Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon R.E.M. - Murmur (1st press) Thin Lizzy - Black Rose Bob Dylan - Knocked Out Loaded Bob Dylan - Empire Burlesque Bob Dylan - Street Legal Stevie Wonder - Fulfillingness First Finale Stevie Wonder - Journey Through The Secret Life of Plants Led Zeppelin - Untitled Led Zeppelin - Presence Jimmy Page- Special Early Works Featuring Sonny Boy Williamson Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here Pink Floyd - The Wall James Brown - Grits and Soul Paul Simon - Graceland Fleetwood Mac - Bare Trees and my favorite for the day Mils Davis - In A Silent Way I cut it down from about 50 albums to the above listed. Accidentally gave away the better looking copy of The Doors Waiting on the Sun to another guy digging, so ended up passing on the gnarly copy I kept for myself.

  3. Literally anyone can become a contributor to Forbes. It's an unpaid position. It means absolutely nothing in the long run, just like anything this band will ever produce: https://www.joshsteimle.com/writing/how-being-a-forbes-contributor-works.html Welcome to the board, though! Which band member's father are you?

  5. This company won't exist in a year. Those are truly outrageous prices. I've been an off and on member for the past few years but there are not many exclusives that would reel me in for $43 a month. I have a six month sub ending in December, that'll likely be it for me unless they get some absolutely insane albums.

  6. Absolutely horrible company. But you know people will still ride the train and pay $43 for an LP because "iTs LiMiTeD eDiTiOnS aNd YoUrE pAyInG fOr tHe SeRvIcE!!" They can fuck right off. Almost, almost as bad as VNYL.

  13. I agree. Perhaps there will be one or two exclusives a year I'd feel like I would need at that price point, tops. But they are actively discouraging multi-month plans because who wants to roll the dice at such an expensive price point? Even the yearly membership has each month coming in at $33 for something you may not even like. Insanity. Personally, I think the company is in a death spiral and has been for some time. This reeks of absolute desperation and their giant shipping mishaps from a few months ago probably greatly accelerated their demise. I assume they were already dealing with thin profit margins and that just put them in the red with no way out. Whoever is steering that ship is just woefully inadequate.

  15. Got this in today 😍😍 ThirtySomething sure knows how to pack a record, holy crap. Coke bottle has some blue wisps in it, turned out great. Gonna sit down and listen to this, When We Break, and Years before the wife gets home. Great year to be a Criteria fan 🤓

  16. This is just a lowkey ploy to drive customers away from a sub commitment, and into the arms of Vinceron with one-off purchases. They’ll split the markup. Pretty genius if you stop and think about it.

  20. Zia is pretty good. My concern is they both use the same third party payment method and they won't be able to actually change the order. Worst case with zia i can cancel the order and have them hold a copy at the location a few miles away. Don't think I can do that here as these are pretty much all spoken for 😐

  32. Yeah, it's a bunch of bored overly emotional internet justice warriors making a monumentally big deal out of hardly anything imo. The vinceron dude is clearly a douche but he's bragged about having 20+ accounts to buy stuff. He mostly has vmp releases that aren't even that hard to get anyways. People need to realize that every hobby ever pretty much has had flippers, it sucks sometimes but bitching in every vinyl outlet across the internet isn't going to change it. I bet vinceron is seeing some good sales from all this free publicity actually...

  34. Resurrection time - 18 months later i finally got me a new deck after my SP10 mkii finally died. It was the main chip that you cant get a replacement for and not the PSU as i had hoped. Nevertheless, i replaced it with an SL1200G. The SL1200G is brutal in that it really shows up a bad recording. I put on Bloody Kisses from the 1st box set which sound pretty good to my ears on my previous setup, but sounded somewhat flat. I checked again with a record i always use to ensure that my cart and tonearm is set up ok (Tom Waits Closing Time - Sounded great). I then stuck on the ROG version which, disappointingly was slightly more flat. Finally i stuck on the MOV version. For whatever reason i thought this was going to sound similar, just because of it being pressed on silver vinyl. Jeez, what a difference, no idea how the original sounds , but the MOV version is a seriously impressive pressing. I really hope they do more pressings of the other albums in the future if BK is anything to go by.
