  1. Both of mine came from Second City and were perfect. Just felt compelled to add.

  2. If they have a significant history of shipping out damaged items? Sure. Maybe reread your response to that person. It came off as unnecessarily combative and self-pitying. Kind of turdish. Of course no one should be shipping out damaged records, that’s a given. I’ve received records that seem like they were packed damaged and I typically contact the seller to let them know and get a replacement. I may even have boo-hooed about it a little bit on here, but I can’t imagine essentially telling someone that their experience doesn’t matter because it is different from mine. Anywho, I’m not looking to get into a protracted argument or discussion about this, so I’m done at this point. Feel free to express your opinion, but if you out of hand dismiss another person’s experience, expect to get called a turd.

  3. Ah cool, I'll give that a read with my coffee tomorrow! I think I'm also trying to project the book's ending onto the movie a bit and need to let it be it's own thing.

  4. I have no problem paying the asking price for a record I want. I have a problem paying $16.50 shipping domestically for 4 records. Charge me $22 for a record and then a reasonable shipping cost, cool. Charge more than double what it costs to ship. Nope. I'm taking away your allowance and putting you in time out for being complacent with dumb shipping fees.

    Anberlin - Livestreams

Yeah, it really does...almost too good lol. Stephen's live vocals are, by far, the weakest part of Anberlin's show and these sound surprisingly good. Studio magic.

  7. After reading this, I enjoyed the movie even more. Does a really good job of explaining some things: https://www.indiewire.com/2020/09/charlie-kaufman-explains-im-thinking-of-ending-things-1234584492/

  8. I liked it quite a bit and agree with you on how it's less of a horror work than the book was. I watched it Friday evening and am still trying to figure out how I feel about the ending too. I'm not quite sure if it conveyed it well or not. I'll probably need to sit down and revisit the last 20 minutes a few more times. The casting was pretty perfect and this might be a top 5 Toni Collette performance, she was SO good. Overall, I liked it quite a bit and think it's another solid entry into Kaufman's filmography. The 4:3 aspect ratio really gave it a claustrophobic feel, nice touch there.

  10. Haha yeah the same high school band I mentioned played shows with FIAD. Also, I was just thinking about how I really preferred the older versions of some of the songs, especially keeping pace with planes. I don’t have those anymore, so id love to take you up on that offer.

  13. I'm Thinking of Ending Things was pretty nuts. It's for sure creepy as hell but the book leaned more into the horror elements than the film did. So anyone going into it thinking it's a straight "horror-fest" will probably be disappointed. Also, if you weren't a fan of Charlie Kaufman before seeing this, it's probably not going to change your mind. You can for sure tell this is one of his movies. Especially in the second half.

  14. that's awesome. a few years ago when I was in Japan, I found a copy of the red White Pony vinyl, signed by the whole band including Chi. It's currently one of my favorite things I own.

  15. Held off on grabbing this secondhand for a while now. This new splatter matches the art perfectly. Acoustics II has such a strong collection of songs. Much stronger in both track-listing and song renditions than Acoustics I in my opinion.

  17. Alright, so as someone who doesn't live in the U.S. and would fucking kill for a concept such as "Media Mail" pricing, you're all fools and don't know the absolute privilege you have. Any album I purchase, whether 2x LP or not, is going to have at least $15-20 shipping tacked on. Every. Single. One. It's not uncommon for single album purchases to run up to $50-60 with shipping factored in; like the latest F.S. Blumm release. I'm hesitant to purchase a copy since it'll end up costing me well over $60 with the exchange rate and shipping. Thankfully ANOST ships via Royal Mail which is usually fairly priced, but still, shit's expensive. Also, free shipping on Bandcamp?!?!? This is news to me.
