  6. I ordered it from here: https://earcandymusic.biz/cake-fashion-nugget-lp-vinyl/ Seems to also be available on Rollin Records, and potentially elsewhere. Got my copy this week, but have yet to spin it. Good packaging for an UO press, can comment on sound quality later as I plan on listening to it at some point this weekend. Now someone just needs to release 'Prolonging the Magic' and I will be a happy man...

  7. Today in my search around YouTube an interview with Fronzilla came recommended to me on No Jumper. Both of those things are usually not in the list of things I enjoy, but I clicked on it anyways. It went about how I'd expect at first, talking about how he just didn't want to fake be a Christian Metal band, how he's influenced by Hip Hop, etc. However then it took a turn I did not expect. According to him, he had slowly grown close to Kevin Lymann and on the 2018 Vans Warped Tour he offered to let Fronz buy the Tour. Fronz says it was more than he had at the time so he had to turn it down. He also claims that for legal reason that he didn't go into, Warped wouldn't be able to come back for another 3 years (2023? a 5 year blackout?) . He also claims that perhaps one of the reason it ended so abruptly is because of social media. He claims that Lymann started using things like Twitter more seriously and reading criticisms in hopes of improving the tour. However, it ended up that Lymann was just reading negative tweets too much and thought he had more to improve. Fronz is still hopeful that he can buy it and start it up in a few years. Thoughts? I'd be a little old for Warped Tour at that point, but I'd welcome it back. Do I want it controlled by Fronz? Not really. Hopefully Lymann could find someone else ha.

  8. What a bummer if this is the production they would have had on tour with them. Would have been amazing to see live. Also when Nick sat down to do the end of Limelight I imagined a crowd just eating it up. Man, these guys could literally do anything on their next record. I'm actually more excited for what comes next.

  11. Couldn't have really said it any better. Same exact thoughts – minus the Revolver bit. Because I lack self-control and ordered last week.

  16. I've seen zero mention of an admission fee for this particular show. It actually popped up on my Bandsintown app, which is pretty good about showing costs upfront. At this point I'm fully inclined to believe it's a free show.

  17. 2015 was a great year on Warped. Saw Moose Blood as well, which apparently was their first show in the US. Caught the last 2/3 of the '68 set, Neck Deep, SF, Man Overboard, lots more. You can "Where's Waldo" me in most of the Main Stage YouTube recordings from that year.

  18. Wish there was a deluxe LP with all the B-sides on those 7"s instead of a bunch of 7"s. Copped the Dirty Nil exclusive.

  29. I’ll agree on it being their best album and I’ll also say Stuart and the Ave has the best Green Day bass line.

  30. The beginning of A Forecast really really feels like Jeremy's best attempt at something Matt Berninger would write. If you know the song Not In Kansas from the most recent National album, it sounds very much like that. He's a huge National fan (as am I), so it didn't put me off too much, but I can see it coming out of left field and being a big wtf moment in the album.

  31. just did two full listens through. big oof. this sounds like an album that could have preceded Stage Four (by far their best album and a great album period, in my opinion) but is nowhere near as memorable musically or thematically. A few catchy melodies here and there but they're far outweighed by bland filler and big yikes lyrics like the entire opening of the last track "A Forecast", where the only conclusion I can draw is he's complaining about not getting calls on the anniversary of his [mom's?] death (strange form of grief), and then in the next breath says some of his still living families members are "dead to him" because they differ from him politically. Like, grow up, man. There's other examples, but i'm one that can be turned off from a project by just a few shallow lyrics, so that's on me. it just sounds like a lot of insecurity, self-pity and doubt when you'd hope for personal growth from tragedy. disclaimer: don't vote, so don't start
