I watched Prom Night 2 yesterday and really enjoyed it. Checked a lot of boxes for a classic 80s teen horror movie and was more fun than the original. Also I recently watched The Witch and Hereditary. Both were excellent. The attention to detail really drew me into The Witch. Everything to make it so authentic to the time period made it more immersive when spooky things happened.

For sure. The first single was definitely in the vein of what you might expect from them but this new song is definitely a turn. I'm certainly curious as to how the rest of the record is. Reading about some of the influence they've said they're going for with this new album I think it could be pretty good. Most definitely one of the wildest live bands I'd seen in recent memory.

That was the third time I saw them (four times total now). ATW were pretty damn good too. Had never heard them prior. That first KB show I bought a dugout from them with their logo engraved in the wood. Most useful piece of merch I've ever owned!

I watched May the Devil Take You Too over the weekend and thought it was a fun way to kill some time on a lazy Saturday afternoon. I'd say calling it an Indonesian Evil Dead may be selling it a bit short, but it's pretty clear that's the biggest influence. I vaguely remember the first one being very Evil Dead-ish as well.
