I only ever owned the Music from Another Room EP when it was originally released but I’ll stay around this thread long enough to say this sounds like someone’s dad who used to be in a rock band in his 20s and then decided to start writing music again so he bought a bunch of instruments and equipment and Apple dongle adapters and set up a pretty cool studio in the basement and, most nights around 11pm, he goes down there and he just plays around on the keyboard a little bit, sometimes sequences some fun drum beats, sometimes just sits there in his pleather swivel chair and thinks about how music these days is missing an inspirational message, some groovy vibes, some soul, heart, the confidence to dance a little bit, not too much guitar or unpleasant distortion, and then, 10 months later, he’s written a watered down, toothless version of an Imagine Dragons or Local Natives arena mashed potato pop rock reverb party from 2013.

TBH too, if it does sound like shit, you can still get rid of it pretty easily. It's similar to the MYW situation. All the 1LP's that were garbage I got rid of right away at cost without any issues, so might as well try it out.

Anyone have any tips for what Detroit record store is the most efficient for RSD? I want to go somewhere next Friday to try to snag "Welcome Interstate Managers." I have been to 10 Detroit record stores or so for shopping, but the only one I have visited on RSD is Village Vinyl. That place is the size of the shoebox, but I guess it doesn't matter because I'm going to be spending most of the experience waiting in line outside.

Ugh, can't justify this right now but that Maybes EP is still one of my favourite releases ever. It's just a collection of perfect sounds! Hopefully the EP will be released separately at some point.

Some people are finding them in the LPs, some in special displays by holiday areas, or womens' and children's clothing, or right by the registers. Also some stores are saying they aren't supposed to put them out until the 22nd? It is really a mess. But a good 25 Target stores within 50 miles of me show as having it in stock, so they must have pressed a ton of these like normal.

Agreed. Some of there previous albums suffer from a lack of diversity with tracks, and I find only wanting to listen to 3-4 songs before I feel like ive heard everything I am going to hear from an album. This new album suffers from this only slightly and feels overall more of a complete album experience. Not to mention some of there best songs appear to be on this album!!

It's been a long week lol

It was posted earlier somewhere that they want to do every album in a box like this. I'd guess LP1 will be next because there's no deluxe at all. Personally, imagining the LP1-LP6 on my shelf has my vinyl boner at full mast so it better happen.

No they weren't. That is the point. They got the license from Black Market just like SIC did for the Loaded reissues. Kevin was just butthurt about that and slandered them via social media and RDW backed out. They make high quality stuff. I am just saying, look at the cover mockup for the "official" repress. Looks like it was made in MS Paint, no offense. I still ordered it anyway bc I need it.

I ordered the 3 LP set on Amazon Friday morning and I had it in hand Sunday. As soon as I can get it cleaned, it's going on the Crosley 😂

Tertia sounds like garbage. Ugh. Really hoping these are new plates and sounds good. I asked on Twitter. Yah, not sure what’s up with all the yellow. Ordered all 7 variants. $25 for shipping... not happy about that.
