  1. A "preview" of re-recorded "Love Story" Taylor Swift Previews Re-Recorded “Love Story”: Watch | Pitchfork

  2. The blink stream was a little weird with no audience, but the limp bizkit cover sets last year were AWESOME, and that's coming from someone who never liked LB. That whole show was one of my favorite of the year last year. Plus it's just a special Halloween thing, it's not like they're constantly trying to do stuff like that. Also they definitely have been working on new music. Sister Cities came out in 2018, it's not like they're overdue for an album or anything like that.

  3. New Burial/Four Tet/Thom Yorke 12” coming. phonica in London has 100 copies in store for sale. Apparently more hitting other stores soon. Hopefully some online pre-orders coming. Need this.

  5. People should just pay for streams if they want to watch/support the bands they like because they have ZERO touring income right now. That's where they really make their money, and the pandemic has stopped that. You don't have to feel obligated to get every stream. Pick and choose wisely. Other than that EVERY band that can stream should do so and make as much as they can. For some of them the band was their full time job. Support them and venues they stream from as much as you can or there won't be much left when this is all over.

  6. As long as the music isn’t as bad as A Day To Remember then I don’t care about the cover

  7. Way more interested in seeing a LB or Blink cover set than I would be in seeing a standard TWY live stream. Pop punk is embarrassing in general if you are over let’s say 25. Might as well embrace it.

  8. Don't know what the variants will look like, but as I posted on the last page, there will be two variants, one from the band and one from Hopeless. The Half/Half is the Hopeless one. They mentioned they'd drop pre-order information during the music video premiere on YouTube so tonight/tomorrow we'll get it in the U.S.

  9. criticizing a halloween set that is in and of itself a joke seems like youre missing the point. And they have multiple times said that they are writing new music but that it's very challenging when the band can't be in a room together to work on it, and that there isn't really any incentive for these mid level bands to release new music when they can't tour on it, which is where they earn 90% of their income. and also idk I think blink and limp bizkit are basically on the same level of embarrassing at this point if you want to get into that discussion lmao

  10. That solid color Newbury variant is gorrrgeous.

  11. You're probably right, didn't check the old albums. Cover is okay, standard with a glossy part in center on back/front -- but not as nice as FuF. Closer to Ultima, but single LP instead of gatefold.

  12. Can confirm that the Bizkit cover set was fantastic. Saw it in Boston. A huge highlight. The guys really went all out for it.

  13. The cover band shows, the rerecording 10+ year-old demos thing. They lost popularity and cant seem to cope with it...

  14. i honestly had no idea either were out of press at this point. six, eight, ten years ago, it felt like four presses of both upsides and suburbia (or whatever it ended up being) would be plenty. same with WBPF. you used to see 10 ebay listings a day for all these, now you see maybe one a month. all of which is to say... yes, agreed that they probably could have kept churning these out. i think this makes up for the wait for more-recent followers of the band

  15. HA, shiiiiit. i remembered i had watched a third one and revised my statement... but clearly did not edit very well!

  16. Listening to the test pressing right now and it sounds fucking GREAT. These should be shipping by Christmas assuming everything goes smoothly with the print/etc. There are also VERY few copies left. Maybe a dozen considering I need to hold some for my distributor (Cobraside) - so if you want to cop before the end of the year, I suggest ordering ASAP. Otherwise you'll have to wait until it's in stores in late January or for a repress.

PO Tobacco - Hot Wet & Sassy

Good luck guys, mine just showed up outta the blue. Acceptable mailer, but 0 support or cardboard inserts inside. No lyrics sheet or art with the record, nothing but a download card - kind of a bummer, tbh. At least the album was only $20 + shipping, I guess I shouldn't have expected anything else. But it's always a bummer when something is as bare bones as can be.

  18. I think the possible point here is that artists typically take home the most revenue when touring/shows in addition to merch I would think. In contrast to physical media as well as digital downloads and streaming, where they only get a small fraction of that money. So in reality, these bands are trying to do stuff that will actually make them money/support themselves. Probably the main reason ETID has postponed the new album release until they can tour it and make money off of it.

  19. The same as the 2017 pressing of Ten (pink cover reissue - not the 2LP redux)

  20. Yeah it depends. In cases like Code Orange's "Back Inside the Glass", I get why it was a paid stream. It took a lot of effort and tech. While TID the season is a great production overall, don't know if this will be too crazy. For most smaller artists though I think going free on Twitch and then just shilling merch forever is better for outreach and finding new people.

  21. both albums are actually somehow both OOP right now and have been for a couple of years. In a year where markedly less music has come out, and bands like TWY have to cancel Upsides anniversary tours, I think this makes complete sense.

  22. Call me old fashioned, but this is the kind of package I’d want to buy as a 2 CD set. For no more than 20 bucks. Or just a 2xLP of the bonus/new material. This 4xLP thing is too bloated. I already have the two albums on vinyl, why are you making me buy them again? Not to mention they’ve been pressed 19 times each already.

Holy shit, you ain't lying. Even in the tracks with a single instrument, i.e. harmonica, etc., there is like no background noise. Really impressed.

  31. And test presses were done back in June. So I’m sure it’s all in hand and ready to go. Comes out Dec 9th

  32. Wonder if the delay is for COVID reasons, or these massive production delays (which, I guess are also COVID related). Either way, June is a way better time to line up outside a record store than mid April.

  33. Completely unrelated but last night I had a dream that some therapist and her legal team were suing a handful of VCers for causing emotional trauma to Gumbo. She had a history of all the shit-posting and jabbing that myself and several others have given him over the last few years. We were expected to take the stand and defend said posts. It was something else.

  34. For whoever is still looking for them, the variants are back up on her site for cyber Monday! Mine still haven't moved so I'm hoping they still hold some back for those damaged in transit. https://store.taylorswift.com/?utm_campaign=Cyber Monday (V82kxn)&utm_medium=email&utm_source=Master List (US %26 Non-US)&_ke=eyJrbF9lbWFpbCI6ICJhanUyc3RyZWV0c0BnbWFpbC5jb20iLCAia2xfY29tcGFueV9pZCI6ICJSNEJoaWQifQ%3D%3D

  38. Not talking about the blink stream. The cringeworthy limp bizkit sets from last year. Well they could have just write new music and not try to capitalize on the past... But maybe its just me
