Their live shows were always a good experience. Always an overwhelming sense of unity in the crowd. Seen them a handful of times going back to 2001 when they were on a side stage at Warped Tour. We were "woke" before woke was "woke." haha I still agree with a lot of their views. But I do feel like they got soft on the establishment during Obama administration, and I'm more of a "criticize all politicians equally" kind of guy. I really don't like the taste of someone telling me "don't vote for this scumbag" while encouraging me to vote for another scumbag. When I was younger it was easier to buy in to the hype, but in my older years the hypocrisy gets harder to ignore.

Middle Kids second full-length drops on March 19. They debuted the second single about an hour ago along with the pre-order. I absolutely love this band, one of my favorites from the last few years. I ordered the "Exclusive Limited" Purple Splatter LP from Domino. Black variant also there. Bandcamp preorder, digital and black vinyl.

The new song rules. I love how the first 25 seconds tease some standard Gumbo-core, and then they launch into a Mogwai pop song. Super excited for new Mogwai.

Anything above 20 seems like a money grab when it comes to test pressings. 100 is a lot. It's just another variant.

Good Day - I have a vinyl copy of Live Evil..and yes, it rocks. Question is this.... sides 1-3 are Live Evil. Side 4, while listing all the songs for Live Evil side 4, when the needle hits the vinyl, side 2 of Purple Rain comes out of my speakers. I purchased this gem at Streetlight records in S.F. many many moons ago for 99 cents. I can not find any reference at all on the ol internet about it and was just curious if anyone else has any info on the piece. Thanks all. Stay safe.

this is again pretty standard for Pure Noise. Sell an expensive bundle to those who want it and then the leftovers go up in smaller bundles. The variant was later sold with a screened slipmat for $40. Pretty sure Merch Limited is a screen printing company...

My first release was a licensing deal. It sort of just all fell into my lap. I was friends with a bunch of bands from booking shows and touring. I had a lump sum of change fall into my lap (got hit by a car on my bike and their insurance bought me a new bike and paid me $3,000 not to sue). I was 20 or so at the time and didn't know what else to do with the cash. It was before the vinyl boom really happened so lots of smaller labels weren't interested in vinyl yet. I booked a show for a friends band about a month or so after I got the cash. He was complaining his label had no interest in pressing their upcoming record on vinyl (he knew I was a huge collector), and I was like well I happen to just get a decent amount of cash, let's make this happen! He put me in touch with the label. The label was excited to have someone else deal with a "non home run type vinyl release". The label asked for 10% of the press and to give another 10% to the band. No extra cash for licensing or anything. The label actually helped me figure a lot out because at the time I knew nothing about pressing a record. they also fully pushed that we were taking care of the vinyl in all the PR and didn't ask for any money for any of that (which I'm sure he had to pay for). So I had 80% of the press left to sell and recover my money, which I did. Had a run for about 8-9 years running the label, put out 21 records. The first record was the only thing I ever licensed though. I never officially hung it up. Just started having kids and running a more profitable business so my priorities kind of shifted. My advice to you would be reach out to the bands first and see if they're interested. They probably either own the rights or can put you in touch with the people who do. You never known, may get someone like I did, who is just happy to see music they're involved with out on vinyl and not have to deal with the hassle themselves. Good luck!

TSR wrote that clear version pressing was messed up and one LP has to get repressed. They say it would take 2-3 more weeks. Fuck, I ordered the clear one.
