I think everyone has a point where they draw the line at a record being too expensive.

Locked grooves. Flipping the rings over is annoying. You have to sort of guess which song is on each side. There’s also (obviously) no fade into the next track like at the end of Black Nurse, instead it just rings out for a second or two and then fades. I checked the run time of Black Nurse last night and it’s about 1-2 shower than the mp3 version but it could have just been my mistake in timing.

I get it. I do the same thing when Deep Discount does one of those fire sales. But if I am paying $7 for a record that would be $30 otherwise, I will not care if it is dinged. Ironically, all my packages from there have been great! The last two times I got orders from Target, on both occasions, I got jacked up records. I was able to just buy a mint replacement in store, and then return the jacked up one, but what a pain. 🙄 I have been avoiding their mail order ever since.

They won't make as much money as they hoped because there are so many copies now. I usually buy stupid VC gimmick shit to flip but the way this released set off my do not buy flag.

I have Somethin Else on the way and pre-oreded Moanin. What is the sound quality like on Speak No Evil? Probably old news, but new to me. The Tone Poet series is great. I got Now He Sings, Now He Sobs a while back and it sounds incredible.

I was excited for BENEE but not $30 for a single LP. UO needs to get a grip.

I've gotten the Sidewinder and Speak No Evil and have Somethin' Else, Moanin', and Soul Station pre-ordered. Also excited about Out To Lunch, Idle Moments, Midnight Blue and Maiden Voyage. This series has been great so far! Some of my all time faves.

The Mobley and Blakey are up for preorder on Amazon right now. April 9 release date. Everything seems to be delayed a month. Also, these Classics are really popular. They are all selling out quickly. The Sidewinder is being repressed with a June 30th release date. I'll be buying almost all of them, many to replace the shitty BN75 pressings I have.

'Be the first to own 1 of the 120 vinyl colour combinations before it's available to the public' I guarantee that Beck has been sitting on all of these since they were produced in 2013/2014 and has been biding his time for the right moment to unleash them and cause some chaos haha.
