I can’t get into any AFI. In Reverie is their 4th best in my opinion. Their most recent being the clear “worst”.

Pffft. In reverie shits all over anything AFI has ever made. Blinks S/T is great though, they’re right on the same level I’d say.

Ah yes. Simpler times. The lack of shit given for this album when it came out reminded me of the divide of Jawbreaker fans after 'Dear You' came out. The vocals, major label, yadda yadda yadda. Such a fucking great album, imo. 'Morning in the Moonlight' is still a top 10 STD song for me.

Downloaded it off IRC overnight the day it came out. Incredibly disappointed. I was sort of in disbelief that the album was that short and seemed like experimental demos for a side project. I’ve slightly grown to enjoy it more, especially in hindsight as it’s the last STD album I consider listenable, but it’s still a bizarre out-of-left-field entry in what was the peak of their discography IMO.

That's exactly what is going on. Supply and demand, baby! You'll definitely see some irrationally high prices and attempts at gouging out there though. And if the FOMO is strong enough, some dummy will buy it and inflate the price for everyone.

I agree there’s no middle ground anymore. It seems any OOP record immediately goes to $100 after being readily available. There’s no $40-60 range.

Random side note. Just me or does it seem like aftermarket for everything generally is also higher recently. I feel like people just said "more collectors now, raise the price." Seems like when I started collecting, OOP records were $50-60 if uncommon and $100 for rare stuff, now it's more like $100 and $200-300.

I just searched about 30 websites for you and couldn't locate any at retail. I was shocked because these were around for a long long time, especially Heavy Fruit.

You never know and you’ve obviously been collecting for a long time, maybe one day you get lucky.

I have a special filing cabinet in the kitchen for flexis. Mine is plastic and has a replaceable liner, but I've also seen some metal ones. Once the cabinet is full, I move them to a bigger cabinet on the side of the house. These nice gentlemen come pick up the cabinet contents once a week. I can only assume they are achieving them for me somewhere, hopefully in alphabetical order. But for real, I just keep them with my 7"s.

Rogue package update: I finally have my copy! Apparently it was delivered to a doorstep of a house where nobody lived, so a neighbor brought the package to the post office knowing it must be for someone else. I'm glad to have the records, but I'm more excited about the good samaritan who restored my faith in humanity a bit.
