  2. Watch it just be a slideshow of concept drawings of what Omar was thinking might have been a good idea for a live stream.

  8. 1000 of each. I checked the carts. The triple stripe is down to just over 100 left. Black and Red are still in the 800's

  13. New Mogwai (loving it) and Godspeed for 2021 - whoa! GIAA has been a pleasant surprise: a good portion sounds like Russian Circles "light." Their tour in EU playing All Is Violent + new material for 2021 has been pushed to 2022 (no surprise). Will travel if they come to the US and things are safer out there. For any nostalgics, I completely missed April 2020 release - first time on vinyl: All The Bright Lights S/T. Pricey, but this is a special album for me. (FFO light, atmospheric post rock with memorable riffs, and don't mind some buried vocals. Not an EITS copycat) All The Bright Lights

  14. Just a useless remark: in 2010 A Wilhelm Scream ‎– Mute Print was pressed in the same two colors and in the same proportions: 333 black and 667 on yellow. And it will get a repress this Friday as well.

  17. These are questions that need answering! And where is the 18th LP? Maybe Landscape Tantrums is a 2xLP? Do I know how to count?
    1 point
  18. No Frances the Mute 12”? Or did they do the right thing this time and ditch the etching and put the song on side A of the triple LP where it belongs?

Same. Sold every album because I figured a repress was inevitable. Could easily pay for this $500 set with what I got for the originals lol

  20. Man, I just want Frances the Mute. Here’s hoping they sell them solo.

  21. Not sure it will be a blood bath, but they will def sell out fast. People have been waiting for this repress for a long time.

    Soon? The Mars Volta

I don’t think so. You have to consider the legal gridlock that these albums were in for years and years. Now that the dust has settled, there is absolutely no way this is a one-time press. (Even if it was, it’d be advertised as such – that’s a huge selling point, right?) I’ve got to imagine that individual copies will go up only after the box has sold out. Zero reason to put them up alongside the box. They need to play off FOMO and any fans who are waffling and don’t want to risk missing out.

DGD - Tree City Sessions 2

I did the same, really liked the Revolver but the shipped cost was like approaching double the MerchNow stuff. Lets hope it turns out really awesome, special, and unique... and not a gross vomity looking thing haha. Fingers crossed! Edit: Screenshot for posterity.

  27. And right on cue, here come all of the Fauci / Pelosi defenders. 😆 Tell us what's so great about those two that would get some people's panties in a bunch over the mere mention of criticizing them? Just because someone wants to see punk music questioning and criticizing authority doesn't make them "republican," but if it helps people wrap their fragile minds around something to hate and gives some privileged kids a villain to focus on in their sad lives, I'll play that role. 🙋‍♂️ What would Propagandhi say?

  30. Lucky. Post-hiatus Godspeed is a whole new animal. If you can swing it, you should grab their last 3 albums and spin them leading up to the release of this new one. (I'm already revisiting their newer stuff and we're still a month out.) I don't think the newer albums are as dense or intricate as their older stuff, but the longer cuts definitely go places and even pack a little more bite than you probably remember the band being capable of. I'm excited for you to get acquainted with them. And it goes without saying that their live shows are a force to be reckoned with. Hope you can make that happen as soon as possible, if live music ever becomes a thing again.

  37. The initial stock of that color was 500 so people are assuming it’s only out of 500. And yes, that smoke is what they were calling Warm Gray.

  38. The band has an audience that enjoys their music. This is an old album that was pretty popular, and they're releasing new recordings of the song during a period where a band's revenue streams have been limited. I don't see anything wrong here. Sure, they're repackaging old music, but it's their music and they're not forcing anyone to buy it. Hell, I decided this was a little too much for me and ultimately ended up cancelling - and they didn't give me any trouble. For what it's worth, they've sold out a few of these bundles already, so there's a market for it.

  39. Copped instantly. I wish I could hear a song now so I knew what to expect, but I’ll continue supporting these guys. I’m betting they don’t have rights to the original version of this- and fans are paying money secondhand for it, so why not re-record it and at least give them *something*? I feel like people here are so negative over nothing sometimes lol. What can ya do
    1 point
  40. Oh boy another band from almost 20 years ago that decided to 're-imagine' their songs. Is there really that much of an audience where these bands need to keep doing this? Or is it purely a 'we made a shitty deal with a shitty label when we were young and cant afford the licensing to the originals' type thing?

  41. Saves the Day fans will never agree on what the best records are, so here is a tragic tale of remorse to reunite everyone. 12ish years ago I had the opportunity to buy a full I'm Sorry I'm Leaving set (test press, transition /10, pink copy, and a few white variants with different streaks and different butterfly covers including a one of a kind tiger stripe cover) for $1k when Kyle from Rivalry was selling off his collection. I committed to it, but then chickened out because I was a broke college kid. I've always wanted to collect everything from Saves the Day from 97-2000, so I have nightmares knowing I'll never own some of those. I at least got a Can't Slow Down test press from him, though.

  42. Ive liked the last couple albums quite a bit. My only beef is that I kind of wish Mike would lay off the I cross dress and do drugs motif on half the songs

  47. Definitely individually. You might even want to parcel out the package items individually. Icky Thump Mono and Raconteurs Live in London should both bring in some good money for you. Icky Thump Mono in particular.
