Don't think these have even started shipping yet. Was estimated to ship in 6 to 8 weeks but lately that's more like 2 to 3 months.

This arrived today. The disc is in a picture disc sleeve and the jacket is a fold-over. The pink looks white in the black. It is interesting though, I'll give em that!

They are smart to tie the book to an LP. Being a National completist I had to buy. If it was just a book, would of been a hard pass... damn they got me...

The only way $100 and one year of waiting would be justifiable, in my opinion, is if the jacket was made of some extra dense cardboard (or plastic) that housed the LPs, and featured 3D printing to achieve the same emboss and depth effects featured in the mockup. Would actually be really impressive to have the clear LP peeking through the damaged bits.

That font is awful though.

I actually live 15 miles from Gold Rush Vinyl and haven't received a single thing in the mail, and I ordered the boxset the day before it went live to the general public. I emailed Underoath's customer support inquiring about the status of my order, and all they responded with was "It hasn't shipped yet". Like no shit dumbass, if it did I would have it by now. Seems like nothing about this release has made any sorta sense, so I guess it's just a literal waiting game until it shows up on your front doorstep...

I also prefer vinyl for the convenience factor.

What really made me a fan of Adore was some of those bootlegs that were online. Boston ‘98 was a magical show. There are some others that ended up becoming Euro CD boots back in the day that could be really dope too. That ‘93 Astoria run would be amazing.

As stated above, definitely do not hesitate to post new threads for fear that they won’t mesh with general VC tastes. I’ve seen too many good threads sink off of page 1 and never resurface, while trash nostalgia cash-grabs and Nickelodeon 7”s steal the spotlight and stay afloat. If you find yourself excited about music that goes against this board’s grain, you’re probably doing it right.

Boxes are the worst part of box sets, especially oversized ones with a big lid/flap. They certainly look cool and it's neat how to see a specific artist/album encapsulated in a nice package, but they're annoying to retrieve records from especially if you're listening to the whole thing. And be honest, you're not listening to the whole MxPx box set at once, unless you have really want your day to gradually get more mediocre over the course of 8 hours.

This is a lot more interesting than some of the stuff people poop themselves over here. I'd say don't hesitate to post something different like this. I actually checked this thread because I know you dig Assertion and that album may be my AOY. We could use more variety on VC even if the thread gets buried under all the usual.

Yea, happens all the time in the bootleg wrestling community. These guys come up with their own designs for merch and some geek is always like BUT WHAT ABOUT THE BOYS, YOURE STEALIN FROM THE BOYS??? Bc Vince McMahon doesn’t have enough money yet...

As someone who has split up box sets...PEOPLE ASK US TO! Lol. I've had people on Discogs send me profane private messages for selling individual pieces of a box set and, literally, every time I've done it, it's because no one wants to buy the full box and then I receive at least one message asking me if I'd list titles individually. And, magically, people buy the individual titles right away. I wonder if the angry Discogs users think I prefer to do 6 seperate transactions and get stuck with the 2 LPs no one wants and a bulky outer box instead of 1 transaction for everything.

People who split up box sets are straight up chaotic evil.

Based on the level of open availability, they'd probably be a poor "investment" for a flipper. Great deal for the superfan though. I sometimes wish I could look like Fat Mike and join the club.

There's an accepted over/under on all pressings, but from what I've dealt with, very rarely less than.

I have a special filing cabinet in the kitchen for flexis. Mine is plastic and has a replaceable liner, but I've also seen some metal ones. Once the cabinet is full, I move them to a bigger cabinet on the side of the house. These nice gentlemen come pick up the cabinet contents once a week. I can only assume they are achieving them for me somewhere, hopefully in alphabetical order. But for real, I just keep them with my 7"s.
