  3. I'm going to be purchasing a new setup and was looking for guides on how to pair equipment. I'm looking at the Rega P6 with the Ania Pro cartridge (but open to other suggestions!). I know it's a moving coil cartridge, so I know I need a preamp that can support it. But what preamp would be a good match for this turntable and cartridge? Then what amplifier would be a good match for the preamp? And finally speakers with the amp. If there are any articles that anyone can share with me that will help guide me through these things, I would greatly appreciate it.

  4. If you don't know StockX, it's a plague on the sneaker industry that has expanded to clothes, then toys like Lego and Funko, then graphics cards & PS5s, and now they're adding records. Basically anything someone can use a bot to buy up and then sell for 2-5x the original value while screwing over people trying to buy at retail is going to be resold on StockX by people that flip things for a living. Will it really make a difference when we have Discogs and the like? Who knows. At the moment it seems to be 90% Travis Scott listings with a 20% markup in comparison to discogs, so the target market are resellers who don't give a shit about what they sell as long as they make a few bucks and Travis Scott fans\hypebeasts that buy a record to hand on their wall next to their Travis Scott Reese Puffs and McNugget pillow. I'm sure that even though they have their "authenticators", StockX doesn't know a damn thing about records. You can only list your ask, there's nothing about record condition to go through or anything, so if it's like sneakers and accessories, everything has to be 100% mint condition no exceptions, which is funny considering how many records come from labels with corner dings, sleeve tears and the occasional warp. Not to mention people are not going to know how to properly ship records. So if you have a stash of mint sealed records from Travis Scott, Kanye or The Weeknd that you want to get rid of, you might be able to make a little more than you would off of Discogs. I hope it stays to just a selection of overhyped gimmick rap releases.

  7. This isn’t new, and I don’t think anyone with a brain is buying records off there.

  8. If it's not Capone i still hope they have a new guitar player in for this record, because i love the sounds and the songs of Interiors but i really miss a proper second guitar in most of the songs...

  9. It’s crazy to think about seeing the last Quicksand show with Capone, the same night as the whole gas station fiasco. But yeah, I’m always down for anything Walter does.

  10. For whatever this is worth, on their Instagram, I asked "Does anyone know if this has all of the original samples restored?" and they "liked" my comment. Of course, that's not confirmation but it was some sort of acknowledgment. I currently have three copies of this album on vinyl (one from 2004 I believe, the 2012 "blue wave" version and the 2017 blue indie exclusive) and I'm going to have to listen to them closely tomorrow to see what differences there are. If what people said in this thread so far is true, the 2012 blue wave version SHOULD have the original Frontier Psychiatrist but the other two should not (unless my 2004 version is also a UK copy). Otherwise, the samples should be the same between all three copies and the following note which is on Discogs should be true. To be clear, what we're all hoping for is that this deluxe version contains the OG Frontier Psychiatrist AND also has the the above samples also included, right? Just want to make sure we're on the same page about the "original mix" and what it really means.

  13. It’s gonna be all gimmick records RSD release and UO exclusives so I’m not worried as those releases aren’t usually in my lane

  14. Welp. I’m buying those Klipsch Forte IVs. Holy shit. I’ve never heard such accurate low ends and amazing sound stage. Thankfully I can get a killer discount on them. Cause once you hear them, there’s no going back. Insomniac sounded fantastic on the set up. I really felt every kick drum, and Mike’s bass tones really shined.
