You are definitely not the only one. Like you said, Relapse and TRL both go for the zany pinwheel splatter merge color-in-color variants. I respect the ambition but more often than not, it’s just such a streaky mess of colors or completely misses the mark from the mock-up. I kinda’ wish they’d chill out a bit… especially since both of them are notorious for increasing the price with the rarity / complexity of each variant on a release.

Why aren't you sure? The cryptic marketing is annoying, sure, but the clues are obvious. This is Oxenfree OST. The only other thing it could be is a remix album of the OST or some "Oxenfree Sessions" of music not used in the game, but I highly doubt it's either of those things.

No regrets on this purchase, a real box for a box set - now to spin the vinyl hopefully tomorrow and next week. It's after midnight here, but I'm going to watch that old 30's Vampyr B&W movie synced up to the YONL soundtrack.

So last night I went to battle with Amazon to try and get them to honor my order at their fuck-up price. I ended up being on chat with maybe 4 different reps. This was all on the text contact on the app. I was a bit drunk during all of it but not aggressive or rude. I was trying to reason with them that it's not fault that they screwed up on the price and I shouldn't be penalized for it and asked to have my order reinstated for the $16.99. It all came down to them kept saying that the record hadn't come out yet and couldn't reinstate the order once it's been cancelled. By the last rep, I was completely frustrated and worn down and I expressed this to the dude. He reached a compromise in lieu of not being able to put my order back: gave me a gift card credit for the difference in pricing of the correct price and fuck-up. So essentially I can order it and apply the gift card and still get it for the $16.99. It's a great compromise. But man...I was put through the ringer for it.

if I were to buy the webstore exclusive and the apparently 3 alt covers they're gonna do, I'd pay $60 in shipping for 4 records because they're all rolling out at different times. I get the idea staggered rollouts but god damn if you're gonna do that, have a motherfucking media mail option. I'm buying literally none of their webstore stuff because of this shit.

I was excited with how they came out. I found a friend who wanted my copy of Nord, still looking to get rid of Tocsin and Ausserwelt. I haven't had the chance to spin them yet (I've been buying so many records lately with little to no time to spin anything). The one thing I noticed with the boxset copy of Tocsin was it didn't include the poster. Aside from audio quality that seems to be the only real difference I've found. That and the new artwork is pretty glossy over the matt printed covers of the older versions.
