Was bummed about this too. Especially considering we have 16 songs to play with here, the fact the decided to go this route was a bit odd. Though, I'll admit, I dont have any idea the cost implications of going the half-speed 45RPM master route vs. typical 33 1/3 RPM with a side D etching. But here's how they could've easily, again taking financials out of the picture, went with the 45RPM config (below). A couple pros I get from going this route: A Colossal Wreck & Desperate Pleasures get together, as they were meant to be 3 of 4 sides are almost right at that 12 minute side optimal length. Created a small discord server with the sole intent of helping each other out with pre-orders and all that and while we're only around 50 members, we've talked about bringing in new folks, but are wary of introducing that attitude and just bad apples in general. We're really enjoying what we have for now and honestly, it's kinda made collecting fun for me again. I joined a couple of the vinyl facebook groups and holy shit is that the wild west. Some good folks, but just honestly feels like a pissing contest and wallet flexing left and right. Not sure what I'm trying to say other than I agree with you to some degree, lol

Not at all. Vheissu is the follow up album to TAITA and it contains the last remnants of the TAITA era and pre TAITA era. And even then, Vheissu only has small touches of it. Basically a transition album out of that style and into their experimental era. However, they do have a lot of excellent albums after TAITA and every single one of them is so different that they each stand alone. Try them all once.

Cool, cool. Saw the Outsider last year when we turned HBO on last (and watched Chernobyl, Watchmen, and Perry Mason that go round as well); I don't have enough time to justify paying for it monthly, so we try to just do a once a year catchup.

Damn dude we really have some similar interests haha. Mare of Easttown was incredible and we just finished up The White Lotus the other night. Also really good. Nothing horror related comes to mind right now (I’m at work so I can’t look). But I know The Outsider is really good. Based on the Stephen King book that came out a couple years ago.

I have the color version from their website and it sounds perfectly fine. Heads and shoulders better than the original mix repress I have. This is one of my all time favorite albums and I'm not mad about what they did with it.

Yeah, any time a horror movie has detective / noir beats to it I'm almost always going to be into it; i loved the additional mixing in of creepypasta and lovecraft with a bit of Foucault's Pendulum and Under the Silver Lake thrown in. Always down for something new and original in the horror/speculative cinema space.

That’s really cool! I know what you mean about Facebook groups. I felt the same way so I started my own and I try to keep them as clean as possible.

Verdict on the single? Maybe I'm the odd one out, but I feel like the melodic parts of Senses Fail are always the most boring to me, so the chorus was only moderately catchy to me. The heavy parts though, all good on every end. Now just to wait for more....

Glad this is finally getting a repress. Awesome album that holds up. Got mine on release day in 2003 (!) at Vintage Vinyl in NJ (RIP) where they did a joint in-store with Saves The Day, who released 'In Reverie' on the same day. Have both records signed by the bands. Anyone else there??

I do enjoy people complaining about prices. Try buying vinyl in New Zealand where prices start around $50 these days. Or try ordering from overseas where postage costs double what the actual record costs the majority of the time. But we’ve got the better life here though so it’s a small sacrifice

i think this is the first release from ETID where I didn't get a tshirt bundle, kinda hate the designs. just went with the clear splatter.
