I think he's trying to say the standard version is over priced (Its a 3 x direct to board wide spined sleeve, like OKNOTOK - which I believe was about $40 on blue vinyl), but they put enough work into the deluxe to make it worth the cost. If its a book like OKNOTOK and AMSP, I'd agree.

I feel dumb reading this post. I can't figure out what you are trying to say. The red 3LP is $60. The deluxe edition is $120 plus $15 shipping.

It's blowing my mind how a triple pocket jacket at $60-75 is somehow being considered a good deal compared to the deluxe book. Do y'all not own any past Radiohead deluxe editions? Shit is 4 pounds lol downgrading to save ~33% is gonna make you feel dumb later just sayin.

I'd give it time, they can be quirky at times but always come through. Website says issue begins shipping in late August and I imagine it's media mail. I am actually about to re-up my subscription as it looks like it recently ran out and I didn't know it. Got to have the Bronx issue.

I talked to Plaidroom. They are not doing a pre-order for this. They did say they ordered hundreds of copies of this title. It'll drop the night of November 4, when they release their "new releases" email. Also, likely to be Limit 1 Per Customer. My guess is they'll charge $55 for it, and it'll ship for free. Seems like their prices are always a few dollars less than every other shop.

Yeah, Crack the Skye was brilliant but they've been pretty hit and miss since. I'll give the album a listen first before considering a purchase.

The fact that this record is 25 now makes me feel like such an old fart haha.

I'm not necessarily looking for a retread, simply saying that CTS was the last full album I really dug. I'm also very fond of the prior three albums but CTS might feel like the most consistent from front to back. There are a couple of duds on the prior three albums for me where CTS just had it going on for the duration. Really just looking for consistency in quality and of course those qualities are totally subjective to my unique personal taste.

I don’t think we’ll ever get another Crack The Skye, but if they put out another Emperor of Sand I’ll be very happy.

Track titles all sound cool. I hope this actually good. I haven't really enjoyed a whole album from them since Crack The Skye.

Nice. Ordered one. Not my favorite record from them, but I have everything else and at least I know it'll be (hopefully) in good condition versus buying off Discogs.
