  1. I love when discog comments are like old man ramblings. Anyone getting distortion? Radiohead came to my school, back then I used to like milk warmed up on the radiator, but my friend became lactose intolerant and we always thought he lacked toast and was being tolerant of that. He went on to become a famous drag queen and my record sounds scratchy towards the end of one track because I have a shonky 1940s tuba attached to a diamond my ex girlfriend gave to me when she ran off with Marc Bolan.

  2. please don't share your opinion of the Hoffman forums unless you have all your gear listed in your profile so I can decide how serious you are and how to perceive your opinion. thx!

  3. Imagine quintuple-posting on top of yourself in a thread for an album you've already said you disliked all 3 singles for. Mind blowing dedication to your craft of mindlessly copying and pasting stock updates and store links.

  4. This might be controversial, but I start by grouping by similar genre (Punk/Hardcore, Metal/Black Metal etc, Disco/Funk/Soul, House/Electronic etc. etc.) then sort by artist/chronological.

  5. No but there’s one perfect record out of every 1000000 to those guys

  6. Wow, I had my doubts...but you really are a psychopath.

  7. Sadly, this is the toughest part, but the most ACCURATE way is to listen to all of them and then sort by BPM. This may take a while, but your sorting will be the most accurate. Thank you.

  8. Are you trying to tell me that my equipment doesn’t let me feel the warmth of vinyl? I’ll see you in the parking lot

  9. I love the new single. I've heard a good amount of the new record and can confirm they don't all sound like 90's rock tunes, there are absolutely a lot of disgustingly heavy songs on it. You should enjoy the range of this band.

  11. At their show last night, Ben announced that they're pressing their S/T album to be released this year as a 20th Anniversary Edition, 'but we're Lucero so everything got fucked up.' He said it's scheduled to be out by the end of the year, but supply chain and manufacturing issues might push it to early next year, so then it'll be a 21st Anniversary pressing. I didn't think this was pressed on vinyl originally, so stay tuned!

  12. I haven't. I've heard great things though. Pretty excited!

  13. The only Radiohead albums that aren't a 10.0 are King of Limbs and Pablo Honey.

  14. Bullmoose is great! Very reliable. The gold variant is delayed so it will take some time to show up, but you'll definitely get it. In other news can we talk about how cool the bone / cherry ended up?

  15. I think the 12” XL pressings have been the best of the 4 big pressings (10”, US Capitol, XL 12” and KidAmnesia). my KidAm is clipping free and generally well pressed. But I think those XL pressings sound a bit more robust to my ears. but the hype for this has caused me to go back to Amnesiac a lot more over the past 2 months and Damn, while not a 10.0 Radiohead record, it may be the best of those that aren’t a 10.0

  18. One thing that...definitely drives me up the fucking wall with the spine, alphabetizing, etc. I have my A's on the right and Z on the left. Pic - https://i.imgur.com/F8aUwBH.png If A is on the left...idk, it seems like the fucking covers are facing the wrong way.

  19. But...why? Those are such different genres, why wouldn't you just have a hip-hop/r&b section? For OP (though I think this is a silly question to ask): I sort by genre->alpha by artist->release date. Genre divisions are: Pop punk/emo Metal/punk/hardcore Modern - indie/pop/rock Hip-hop/r&b Funk/soul/blues Country/bluegrass Classic - rock/pop Ambient/drone/soundtrack Then I have separate sections for 10" and 7"

  20. the best way is to buy pushpins and decorate your walls with your records and throw the sleeves away.

  21. Like most others have said, I have my metal and hardcore in alphabetical order by artist. Albums are just kinda flung in there in an attempt to be alphabetical, but I do quite like the chronological aspect of sorting by release date. I have a shelf for classical, a shelf for jazz, and boxes of random shit. Oh, there are also some random hip hop albums in with the metal and hardcore like Nas, ATCQ, Wu, Beastie Boys.

  22. I do similarly. I have shelves for my metal records and then shelves for everything else. Then it is alphabetical

  23. I should download the app for that. I used to keep track years ago using Goodread's via the website. Lately I've been reading books on music. Read In Defense of Ska not too long ago, and now I'm reading Hell of a Hat. Interesting perspective's on the ska scene in both. Also picked up Dave Grohl's book but I've been holding off on starting that one.

  24. By decreasing size, then by artist alphabetically, then by release date. I'm only slightly obsessive.

  27. Discogs is notorious for knee-jerk reviews from people who’ve never wet cleaned a record in their life, and are shocked that their entry level Audio Technica table is suffering distorted playback. I take the reviews and comments on that site with a massive grain of salt.

  30. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Red Creek only did this EP and new album is being released by Metal Blade (like the previous album)? Anyhow... Can't wait for all the 100 different variants again :).

  31. I wonder if they're gonna butcher the songs live in the style of their awful new album or rekindle some of that wonder that everything leading up to it had. Honestly still miffed at how bad PROXY was. These guys were real good before that.

  33. Ended up missing all of these as my checkout process was interupted while they cascaded out of stock. Boss called me before they went live and I hit the site about 1m late. What a hobby
