  1. Featuring is an interesting word to use... Watch they just press all their samplers from that era. I'd laugh hard.

  6. Yeah, I absolutely loved Host, was hands down the best horror flick of 2020 for me (well, pure horror; my favorite overall film from 2020 was After Midnight) so this was a huge letdown for me.

  7. MCA/Geffen funded the label at a certain point when they started to get popular, but DTR still had ownership of the label itself. However, since they were funding them, MCA/Geffen had first pick to the DTR roster which is why a handful were released through them and DTR just being the parent label. NFG, SoCo, Finch, Fenix TX, TSL. Some early albums are straight up owned by DTR so pressing them has no red tape like Finch’s first EP, TSL’s first EP and LP. I always check who currently owns the copyright by just going on Apple Music/iTunes and it’ll say at the bottom.. not sure if Spotify lists the copyright. This is important too since some bands buy out their masters and keep them or release them through another label. It happened awhile back with Lookout Records, but I think they were forced. DTR still held on to most of their releases which I’m sure a lot of bands who wanted to re-release them themselves weren’t/aren’t happy about after all these years.

  12. It was a joint release by Geffen/DTR. Probably complicates rights, though.

  15. June 24th release confirmed. https://www.altpress.com/news/third-eye-blind-unplugged-hows-it-going-to-be-acoustic/ I’m honestly shocked they are including “Second Born” on this release. That’s a lost B-side that was supposed to be on the follow up on ‘Ursa Major,’ ‘Ursa Minor.’ I figured that song would never see the official light of day due to ongoing litigation battles with their former members of that era. I guess re-recording it gives them the right to do so.

  16. Good, hopefully this is a permanent leave and not just a "break" and he'll be back later. Some of the comments on Facebook about this have been disgusting. All the creeps really like to come out of the woodwork to defend a man they've never met

  18. I'm very impressed and happy for them that after a 3000 unit first press of a new record which comes after 9 years of silence, it needed a repress before the release date. Wish this band got the recognition they deserved in their prime.

  19. Literally a minute after I responded a couple days ago to this I found this uploaded on the tracker I use - watched it last night; quick thoughts: Pedestrian shaky cam found footage with a distinctly unlikable main character. Unlikable can be fine but this is just her being unlikable for loooong stretches of the film. Super disappointing follow-up to Host, which managed to be a lean and well-thought found-footage film that used every vignette to great effect, where as this is mostly aimless rambling mixed with frantic running / blurry shots of the ground whipping past and maybe a bloody hand here or there. (I should point out that I love found footage films, but this one just did not work for me)
