$100 lol. "Geared toward fans that couldn't get one." You can get one for under $100 literally right now.3 points -

Kind of messed up when in the video they even mention how they only want people to buy one . I’m going to dm them your account and maybe they’ll cancel one of your orders. If you really want a second one buy it on eBay and be a considerate person.2 points -

That may have been one of the more wild things I’ve seen a band do with records. I’ve been a fan of HIL since before SOTP, but that was crazy. To say they’ll refund your order if you buy more than one and then charge $100 is nuts. Reading the IG comments is truly a LOL experience. Sorry, @andrewlucas, looks like you’ll have to stick to paying less than “retail.” Bummer.1 point -

I did. But it's not like he is going to flip it or anything... and how the hell they connect 2 different people with 2 different addresses and 2 different IPs and also it is possible that only one of them will succeed. you are way too overreacting this.1 point -

Looool I hope you know his friend's details too. He is like their biggest fan and wanted to buy this so bad and missed out, so let him be (not to mention he doesn't technically buying 2 as his friend's will to give it to him) Ps.: you could buy 2 of each when these were originally on sale, so sit down Sherlock!1 point -

I will add this much to this. This Chicago show felt immensely more energetic…esp. Steve…than the two Seattle “final” shows I caught last year. It was as if they were re-energized. Not saying the Seattle shows were lame, quite the opposite & they killed it. But there was a different kind of magic in Chicago. And I’m thrilled that I was there to witness it.1 point

As a fan, half the records I get pressed at GZ are scratched up from their paper inner sleeves. Also not a fan of direct metal mastering. Though recently I've seen labels that have their own lacquers made, but use GZ for the pressing.1 point

I would say the hate against Pirates is overblown. I think the main issue was with many of their splatter/haze/etc. records having a grainy residue. Some of their records are a bit noisy, and they used to sometimes have a low level whooshing sound (this might have been a DMM issue... but I haven't noticed this in years). But honestly, the majority of what they put out sounds quite good. Maybe most importantly, I have personally never experienced an off-center pressing from them, and that is the defect that I find to be the most infuriating and detrimental to the sound of the record. Compared to the garbage quality I've seen from places like United, I'd rather take something from Pirates/GZ any day.1 point

i'd like to press vinyl, what pressing companies provide good product?
IndigoHollow reacted to moonbeams for a topic
I press all my records at Packaged Sounds in UK. https://packagedsounds.com/ Tom Reiss runs it and he's been a good buddy of mine through these forums for a decade now. They specialize in very artistic colored vinyl. Here are some pics of records they pressed for me. They also printed the artwork:1 point -

They absolutely will license it without telling you (Dreamworks is long gone and the UMG catalog dept is people you've likely never met just working the company's product. You might get lucky and have someone there who thinks "it would be cool to have the band involved," but a lot of times that doesn't happen). And the royalties would still be administered by UMG, coming from the licensing fee they took from ETR, so check your statements with them.1 point -

I found the TV Greatest Hits release yesterday at some shop. It was the only thing on my wantlist but I didn't buy it. The $35 price tag had me realizing I don't need to buy everything1 point
