  1. I know of 1 thing I’m missing aside from test presses.. but I think my collection of The Bronx / Mariachi El Brox is pretty comprehensive.

Feel like this is probably ok to share since there's quite literally no way to buy it/give them money for it instead at the moment https://mega.nz/folder/np0VkZSI#_deI_dMP2R9439sV6a40GA Lineage: THORENS TD 209 --> 2M Bronze --> NAD Stereo 3045 --> Focusrite Scarlet 6i6 --> Audacity (recording) --> iZotope RX 9 (de-click & noise removal) --> Audacity (label tracks)

  5. Order HERE (via Steadfast Records) Preorder item, releases on August 26, 2022 Brandtson announce a limited edition reissue of their final album, Hello, Control, on August 26, 2022 via Steadfast Records. The reissue features previously unreleased alternate mixes from album producer Ed Rose and marks the first time the 2006 album will be available on vinyl. Presented with all new artwork, expanded from the original concept and available on multiple vinyl variants. Hello Control, a pivotal release and the closing chapter on over a decade of making music for the Cleveland quartet. The first album with longtime friend and collaborator Adam Boose joining on bass, and the fifth release with producer Ed Rose. From the dusty lull of album opener “A Thousand Years” a new Brandtson begins to emerge. Putting a ready for the floor sneer to the road worn hallmarks of their back catalog, and taking a decided step into pop territory on singles, “Nobody Dances Anymore” and “Earthquakes and Sharks”. The alternate Ed Rose mixes were curated from the bands archives and have been previously unreleased in any format. Originally released by The Militia Group in 2006. The 2022 reissue of Hello, Control was mixed by Ed Rose, mastered by Adam Boose, and lacquer masters cut by Bob Weston at Chicago Mastering Service. The gorgeous vinyl package includes Reverse Board printed jacket 11" 8 page booklet with additional photography and lyrics Black poly-lined inner sleeve Poly outer sleeve First Pressing Limited Edition of 500 Worldwide Opaque Yellow (/250) Opaque White w/Black Splatter (/100) Blue Blast (/50) (Limit 1/person) Test Press (/10) w/Stamped and Hand Numbered White Jacket (Limit 1/person) * Opaque Red (/100) (Indie Exclusive Variant/only available in bundle or from your local record store) Blue Blast and Test Press are limited to 1 copy each /person

  6. Yeah, I did a double take when I saw that in my inbox this morning. Was pleased to see Kranky keeping it real with their pricing too, as always.

  9. Yeah that song sucks, cliche maroon 5 sounding shit... And after paying stupid dollars for the reissues from clouds hill then to have a million variants available everywhere way cheaper... there is zero chance I'll preorder this at 40 euro plus shipping.

    Soon? The Mars Volta

Vigil ? Listened to it this morning... 🤢 I'm quite sure Incubus (to name one) took them by both hands to the hell of lost bands... They should have stopped it really earlier or like Antemasque, don't call it Mars Volta, by respect.

  11. I see this come up on social media and other places online whenever someone asks about AFI represses and why they haven't happen. This source of this statement was specific to an unauthorized repress of their first EP, Dork, a few years ago. An EP that they made as high school students before they ever considered taking the band seriously. No one from the band has ever made any statements about repressing music that they actually still perform live.

  12. Not sure what or where or how to note this, but for the first time that I can recall, I'm not allowed to use my ad blocker on the site here. Is that normal or a new thing? It's definitely never asked me to turn it off for years, and it won't let me access the site now unless i do that. Anybody?

  14. I managed to get an order in before they took them down. Based on past experience, there should be no issues with them fulfilling my order. Really excited to see this on 2LP. The single LP pressing has always felt a bit flat to me.

  15. $32. I bet it went up too early. Most Walmart exclusives pop back up at some point.

  18. y'all, @satoshiis right. Switch to brave. It looks like chrome, you can use chrome extensions, and it automatically blocks pop up's but isn't detectible. Switched from Chrome last week. the iPhone version is great too.

  21. New release from Evan Caminiti of Barn Owl out today. Collab with Jake Muir. I'm a huge fan of Barn Owl, but his latest solo stuff as been a little too minimal to keep my interest. This seems like it has some familiar footing though. Also says they were influenced by Blood Incantation and Spectral Voice, heh. https://boomkat.com/products/talisman-50fe630b-91de-4160-8121-efa5a29aa6dc

  22. So, the difference between the “kinetic” version from the cloudshill store and the regular version is the gold foil cover? I’m also not crazy about the newest song. The first two singles were decent, but so far the new album hasn’t been quite what I was hoping for. Oh well.

  24. ship7 lets you declare the value of the goods, when they receive the package, they have a disclaimer that you need to declare it as much as you paid for it, but I always put one dollar for every record, and they never asked me anything even if there is a receipt in the package that clearly states otherwise. I think they have to state on their website, but it's your responsibility to "not lie", but probably don't really care about and even "giving a helping hand" by not putting the value on the package they ship and by throwing away the receipt printed by the merchant. It's more than likely a grey zone, hell even a fraud but I'm fed up of paying awfully high taxes on records I can't buy in my country from my already well taxed salary. I'll post from the prison if I got caught.

  25. Nostalgia for classic records is the driver….man, they really have their fingers on the pulse 😒 Colorado alone bought 6 million copies of “Time In A Bottle” in 2020 I’m sure.
