  1. Just in time for the "limited vinyl only for sale for one week" to be back in the store. I simply can't believe that it's for sale again...

  2. It's so cool that the Scowl / Gel show that recently happened at the Sonic Drive-In is getting so much coverage. In case you missed it, here's the Hate5Six video and most recent news article: https://fox59.com/news/national-world/a-sonic-drive-in-just-hosted-a-hardcore-punk-concert-and-the-photos-are-wild/

  4. Well it's TMV release day. My vinyl pre-order shipped out yesterday. I guess I accidentally ordered from the Europe Clouds Hill site instead of US so it'll be a hot minute before I get my copy. Listening to the album this morning though and I've got to say I'm pretty satisfied so far. To me, it doesn't sound like anything TMV has ever done. Definitely doesn't have the energy of Deloused, Frances and Bedlam. I would say it's most closely resembling of Octahedron and Noctourniquet. I'm a big fan of those albums just as much as the high-energy TMV so it works out fine for me.

  7. Hopefully it’s not too long between them fixing the test presses and the preorder. I cannot wait to have a legit copy of YPAA.

  8. Canary Yellow We are excited to present to you our sixth studio album, "Canary Yellow", produced and mixed by Rob Schnapf. 1. Joey 2. Cracked Candles 3. Magic Garden 4. Rocks & Blows 5. Dibs 6. The Line (feat. Ruth Radelet) 7. Congratulations Text 8. Cicero 9. Domino 10. Lake Shore Drive Instead of hiring a publicist or paying for promotion we have decided to handle the release of this album totally independent and removed from the standard music industry model. This is 100% funded and assembled in house by Soft Kill. This deluxe first pressing features a 24pt jacket, printed & embossed inner sleeve with a two-sided insert on a myriad of color vinyl variants exclusive to this edition. 20 - Test Pressings w/ Special Sleeve 50 - Orange Vinyl w/ Welcome Sleeve 96 - Black Vinyl w/ Chicago Sleeve 96 - Black Vinyl w/ New York Sleeve 96 - Black Vinyl w/ Atlanta Sleeve 96 - Black Vinyl w/ Halloween Sleeve 96 - Black Vinyl w/ Texas Sleeve 100 - Pink 100 - White 100 - Red 100 - Baby Blue 100 - Green 250 - Purple 250 - Gray 450 - Orange (Retail Exclusive) 500 - Baby Blue w/ Red Splatter As always, manufactured locally at Cascade Record Pressing. While this is a preorder with a release date of 10/31/22, we submitted this order and already have most of the variants in hand to avoid delays on shipping normally associated with vinyl projects in modern times. We will be shipping as many of these early as possible as a thank you for supporting our band. As a small ask, if you receive your copy before the release date, do not rip the audio and put it on YouTube or we will do dramatic, unnecessary things. Also, vinyl costs have risen dramatically so prices have too. This was sadly unavoidable. European customers: copies will be available over there shortly.

  10. I didn't even try to get the OUV exclusives last year as I refused to wait in line while shows were going on to get them. Seems like their plan is better this year. And will be curious about Blindside as well--it will be the first thing I look for when I get through the gate Friday morning, but I am expecting it not to be on sale until the day they play--Saturday.

  12. Gel have worked really hard this year to get out there. These kids are going to be huge if they keep it up. Really curious to see who will be putting out their eventual full length, next year or whenever.

  14. I have the Earth Analog version that MT was releasing with the Jay Ryan print and grateful to have that, but this album cut at 45rpm! Holy Hell, can't wait!

  15. I’ve listen to it a couple of times now, and while I don’t love it, I like it enough to keep it in rotation. It is very different overall. Yes, there are textures, motifs, rhythms, guitar licks, and of course, Cedric’s vocals that sound familiar, it really doesn’t bear any substantial resemblance to past TMV albums. Playing the Atmos stream forced into my 2 channel setup it sounds very clean, detailed, punchy but still laid back enough to not blow out the experience. I’ll prob get it on vinyl eventually.

  16. Hello, injust rescued this 1960’s / 1970’s turntable from the family storage, and i have been restoring and cleaning it. I was abble to change a couple transistors, fuses and valves, and everything is working like a charm, but i also wanted to change the needle (it has nearly 60 years, even tho it still reads the vinyl records) but i don’t even know what to buy! Can anyone please help me? Thank you!

  18. I saw that tour when they hit the croatian cultural center in vancouver (RIP to a classic venue, they no longer do shows). Snapcase got stuck at the border and was like 2+ hours late, so they entertained the hardcore kids with a singalong of Sweet Caroline etc while waiting for Snapcase to get to the venue and rush to set up.

  20. Some dipshit Redditors will cry that it requires too much flipping and isn’t practical to have at 45 RPM. (As if anything about this hobby is practical.)

  21. That's the tour I saw them on too. Snapcase wasn't even the headliner... bonkers to think now.

  22. Can't we all just have our own opinions without trying to be the most clever at shitting on another person? I'm not on anyone's side in this debate. There just seems to be a lot of wasted energy here. I guess it's just the internet... Be kinder, folks. I hope Topshelf can pull themselves outta this mess.

  23. The green vinyl for “Expert in A Dying Field” was delivered to me on Monday! I’ve been spinning it ever since and it’s fantastic! I saw the Beths in Detroit about a month ago and they blew me away.

  25. I’ve listened to the new album a lot. Two of the tracks on there are probably in my top 10 Jack songs. I need to listen to the acoustic album more. I’m gonna try to do that this weekend. Saw him in DC a couple months ago, and recently in Baltimore and Charlotte. Both shows were great, but DC was definitely my favorite. Managed to snag a foil print at the Charlotte show. The Baltimore show had a “contest” poster which was kinda of interesting. You can either keep the print in tact, or fill out the entry form at the bottom to possibly win a limited edition Warsaw bar, or signed album. I decided to keep mine since the odds were so small. Seeing him at a smaller venue in Asheville next Friday. Stoked for that. The new stuff has been really fun live.

  26. Yeah that's sort of where I'm at. TSwift albums are available in abundance, I'm not worried about snagging the first pre-order.

  27. If it’s anything like all the other reissues, we’ll see this for a very affordable price in a couple of months.

  28. same. it's not that it's a bad album, it's just that it's really not up to the par of a lot of the other stuff they did before it and that's a major factor in why it's such a bummer. i don't know if it's the more polished tone of the record or what, but what caught me with Losing Streak or Hello Rockview isn't in this album.
