Outrun the Sunlight are re-releasing their debut album Return of Inertia. Everything was redone, hence the 2.0 in the name. That's awesome! Yeah agreed about Morgan, but it seems like Kaela holds it down pretty well too. I've watched live vids from the Junk tour and she seems great (especially with her on vocal duty for that song from the Oblivion soundtrack). This quote from Anthony in the press release really makes me want to see them live again too - "I wanted this record to be very impactful live," he says. "The idea was to come back with something closer to the energy of Before The Dawn Heals Us. The combination of guitars and synths is always in my music, but it’s maybe more present on this new record than on the previous ones." Exciting stuff!

Unfortunately I think that's the way it's going to be from now on. 7"s historically don't sell very well and it's no longer 3 bucks to press one. You are lucky if you can get it done for 5ish bucks per and then you factor in the percent to the band, the percent you lose with paypal processing you have to sell them for 8+ and then hope you make your money back which you have to sell almost all of them to do. Making money is almost impossible for most releases on 7". OR you can press it on an LP for 8-9 bucks packaged and sell it for 18-25 (label depending) and double your money per record. I've said I wouldn't do anymore 7"s as a label but I have done one or two splitting it three ways with other labels but I don't think I'll ever do a 7" solo as a label again unless pricing drastically changes.

I heard somewhere that they have the next couple pressed but there was an unspecified hold up at the distribution place that adds the records to the comics and sends it out. It is definitely a crazy mess. I mean they are through issue 10 now. It wouldn't surprise me if it doesn't fall apart at some point and they stop.

Can't wait to hear this. Always regretted skipping seeing them during the Junk tour, but saw them for the HUWD tour and loved it. Hopefully I can make it out to one of the shows this time.

Didn't realize someone had posted this in the hardcore/punk catchall thread until after I posted this, but deserving of its own thread imho.

Ordered the Rough Trade exclusive. My experience with "eco -mix" vinyl as they're calling it (both the limited edition colored pressing and the standard black pressing) has not been positive. They are usually an ugly greyish mess as far as color goes and noisier than most colored vinyl. I have heard some say that paper will often make it's way into the recycled vinyl mix but I have my doubts on the validity of that claim. The autograph on the 4AD exclusive would have been nice, but I'd prefer the bonus CD and potentially cleaner pressing.
