very interesting to read these opinions.... i feel almost the opposite. the opening track is the worst song on the album. so cheesy and forced and heavy-handed with the stupid "3 act tragedy" thing or whatever the concept is. i was terrified that i'd have to deal with needless interludes and transitions between the acts. instead it's subtle and understated, but you can tell where it splits if you listen. it's perfectly executed in that sense, to me.

i like the production vibe on the single but there just isn't a lot of meat to the song. i think it'll work as the first track/intro to the album, but i don't see myself replaying this one song over and over or anything like that. either way, really happy that it's only 2.5 weeks until the release date

Seems strange that they removed the text in the store that specifically said 80 copies, but it did sell out almost instantly so either way it's going to be a very low number. The first song kinda bores me, but so does Big Red Machine in general, haha. Still think/hope this could be really good.

really weird for them to collab but on such an old song. still, i'll take it. just wish it was something new and original. as far as the new album, i'm definitely a little worried it's too soon and it's mainly a bunch of reworked/punched up B-sides from the last album, but we'll see.

Was able to snag one of these yesterday. His last couple albums have gotten a little less relatable and more cheesy, but I love the guy and am a sucker for any sort of hand-stamped/signed variant. (Fingers crossed for a Boston show this fall, that's where the real magic is.)
