I agree with you and tried to respond to those two gentlemen as nice as possible while scratching my head. Although In my opinion, Pneuma, Foreword, Waves, and New Light were all masterpieces...

I'm with you on that. Giants fan here... On a B&C related note - neither new song wowed me but I still liked them both. I definitely need to give them a few more listens because I can't even decide which one I like more. I think a lot of us are just waiting for that one song to punch us in the face - like a Patience or I Tore You Apart In My Head.

Holy hell - this is unbelievable and great news. I already have this but I advise anybody to jump on this ASAP!!! It's beautiful, sounds great, and it's just a great album. The beer color is perfect with the album artwork.

It sounds like you guys are just fans of Waves which is cool. I actually enjoy Pneuma and Foreword more but I absolutely love Waves. Hopefully we all enjoy the new album!

Obviously it's a little different than their older stuff (like any band's new release should be) but I found it really easy to hear the influences from their past albums. A chill song like Hands isn't much of a surprise if you listened to New Light or checked out Ansible. I'm very glad the album does not have a flat feel at all to it so far with 4 very different songs being released. I think it's best if you wait until the album is released and avoid listening to any more of these videos. I think it's ok to be critical of the music but it's really bizarre that you seem to be such a big fan of the band but aren't feeling these tracks...they're one of my top 3 favorite bands and these songs just clicked instantly with me. I like that I was able to pick up on riffs and sounds right away that were similar to sections on Pneuma and Waves. I'm seeing these live videos translating into something very magical so just be patient and maybe give it more of a chance?

I think you'll probably hear it on the album recordings or in some of the upcoming tracks. The last song got pretty heavy at the end so we'll see what it sets up. Also, wtf is up with the zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz?

Amen. I definitely have not been disappointed by any! With each new one, I watch all of them in a row. I neeeeeed to hear the album versions ASAP.

That was my first thought too. Burn Pile is my favorite so far.

I'm really not connecting with or feeling the vocals nearly as much as their older work...needs more emotion/energy/aggression or something. I'm still stoked for the album.
