some recievers allow you to use "phono" input as a line in (with a separate switch) .. thats if you want to select phono on your reciever but if it doesnt then do what @slinch said

yes definitely .. all the project "acrylic it " platter is, is a piece of acrylic .. it will 100% give you the same benefit as the branded one (provided you make it the same) .. thats all that project does... they goto plastics manufacturers and ask exactly what you are going to ask PLUS you will be going direct to the manufacturer SO you can have ANY colour you like too!!

get onto a plastics manufacturer and ask them to cut you one out of 1" acrylic just copy the dims of you existing platter

look thats a LOT to unpack .. maybe try speaking to a professional, thats my best advice it really helped me.. not with music making but general day to day living ...

have you checked with a strobe??

the little NS-SW050B is a nice powered sub... or similar... but its all down to taste .. i use an 8" and listen to a LOT of rock .. i found the 10" was way too heavy and drowned out my speakers... but have a listen and trust your ears yeh that jbl is a PA sub.. you would need a big amp to run...

so short of it is... the receiver wont have enough grunt to power the sub ... imo id sell the sub and buy a small powered woofer... simply it would go Stanton > Preamp > Yamaha RX-V573 > Sub out and Speaker Out ... as for bookshelves .. look at something around the 100w mark for the reciever like NS-333B or similar ...
