yeh my freind just copped the Pro and BOY its niiiiiice!!!! the cart on them is pretty mmuch a direct copy of the 2m blue ... but yeh its up to you .. i think an excellent investment would be a litle 8" or 10" active sub with the crossovers built into it ... (go amp > sub > speakers) some actives come with a foot switch to turn it on and off incase you like the sound of no sub for certain records.. but at the end of the day, you cannot go wrong with project ...

whatever way you go, it will be a killer setup!

Hey hey! Thanks for the reply
I probably should have mentioned in my original post that I have already upgraded to the acrylic platter and switched the original stylus / cartridge out to an Ortofon Super OM20 which I've been using for the past ~5 years or so... I guess that's one of my reasons for wanting to upgrade since I've had the Debut III for so long and have pretty much gotten my fair share out of it... not to mention I just think the Debut Pro looks so damn sexy!
Solid remarks though in regards to the pre-amps... other than the huge difference in price and how cool and sleek most of them look, I'm sure the actual upgrade in sound is probably very minimal... Given how my current setup is though, I unfortunately can't use my Sony's preamp because of limited space and the placement of my record player, not to mention the extremely short hardwired audio cables / grounding wire...
Also appreciate the recommendation of adding an active woofer to my speakers... never gave that a thought before but will definitely look into it!
    Appreciate it!

why dont you upgrade the platter to acrylic, upgrade the cart to a 2mblue and get a platter puck?

the tubes look cool as hell but will you notice a difference in sound between the current phono box, phono box s2 or the tube box?? probably not ...

is there a reason you dont use the sony's phono input?

those polks are nice.. have you considered adding an active woofer into the mix???

I'm not an expert on this stuff, but I feel confident in saying nearly any TT  would be an improvement in sound quality and extending the life of your records than what you're currently using.  At the risk of sounding elitist and I really hate the way this sounds but, I wouldn't play my records on your turntable.  Not anything I valued anyway.  I'm not sure what your budget is, but you can drop about as much money as you can imagine on a set up.  I'd say from your current TT, a $300-400 TT upgrade would be a good start.  There's a good thread somewhere on here that I found really helpful when I was looking for real TT rather than the toy I was using at the time.

as @hoytishas said .. if going powered dont go budget, if you can afford it, go down the active monitor route .. each speaker has its own built in amp.. i run record player TO phono pre TO preamp/monitor control TO active speakers... i love it because theres no EQ anywhere and the needle is playing what was cut

one issue i see is how are you going to adjust volume? do the speakers have their own monitor control??

if youre going to run MM cart you could also look at DAC w/ phono pre built in .. that way you will have some volume and control and a phono pre in one box.. also will have the ability to control other inputs later ie tape decks etc...

Yes! That's what I'm talking about! and want! and trying for! Simplistic and clean sounds.

The speakers have a remote that can adjust volume.

And with this option, you won't need the preamp. You could also scope out local thrift stores and find something cheap with a phono input. It would at least get the job done as you save for something nicer

Appears to be part of the Ortofon OM Series.  There's a number on the other side of the catridge indicating exactly which model it is.

Actually, I've been reading up, it looks like Sonos is the only one (or only one I can find) that actually has RCA inputs for either your receiver or any individual device so, technically I could use my selector switch, go straight into the hub and have it send the signal to a Sonos speaker in the other room. I just have to hope the quality is decent because lots of people seem to talk about it negatively.

MusicCast sounds great, but I don't want to have to buy another receiver.

That is exactly what I implying/going to print. If it has enough play, you could 3D print that for a tighter fit.

I'm going to be purchasing a new setup and was looking for guides on how to pair equipment. I'm looking at the Rega P6 with the Ania Pro cartridge (but open to other suggestions!). I know it's a moving coil cartridge, so I know I need a preamp that can support it. But what preamp would be a good match for this turntable and cartridge? Then what amplifier would be a good match for the preamp? And finally speakers with the amp. If there are any articles that anyone can share with me that will help guide me through these things, I would greatly appreciate it.

i love projects and rega's but it ultimately comes down to the counterweight adjustment and antiskate ... if it has it (and you set it right) it will do minimal damage to your records.. if it doesnt (like crosleys) it will absolutely kill ya records ... so get whatever player has those two things  ... then later down the track you can look at upgrading platters or carts/stylus ... also i recommed a platter puck

I don't think I have a spare super splatter. I might have the red or hot pink variant but I don't think I have super splatter. Let me take a look around. Thanks for ordering.

Also, we're down to 1 copy of Every Last Piece.
