I don't listen to much metal in general, but this band sounds pretty awesome so I went in for the LP.

You can always ask for fruit punch. A decent bartender will make it with orange/cranberry/pineapple juice, grenadine, splash of soda and whatever you want in it and not be a lazy bum just because you didn't order alcohol. Or you can get a virgin long island I suppose, just coke and sour mix. Wicked sweet, but it's something different at least. Virgin bloody mary if you like tomato juice. Again, a good bartender should make this properly still (pepper, worcestershire, etc) and not be a jerk because it's virgin. As a bartender I will gladly make any of these drinks, however, I have served people who don't drink that order these mostly because they look like cocktails. I don't get that. I suppose it's because there are a lot of insensitive people who find it appropriate to call others out on not drinking.

I have a iMac G4 that the capacitors burst on. They refused to offer anything compromise in-store and insisted (their first option, of course) was to just have me buy a new one because a logic board with repair costs is like $1000 anyway LOLOLOL. I researched and there was a specific set of serial codes that were recalled due to this issue and mine conveniently was between the numbers listed, despite clearly being made with the same capacitors and suffering identical symptoms. After about two hours on the phone after leaving the store (extremely pissed off, which I don't do) they worked it out so that I just paid about $150 in repair costs. That worked for me, but it was a shit show getting to any sort of conclusion. That iMac has since shit the bed again (bulging capacitors) and despite having them replaced by a third party it still doesn't get past start up. I'd love to figure out how to get it running again, but can't. So I had to buy a new iMac lollolol.

I hardly post any more, but I figured I'd try to take advantage of people and ask for recommendations on things to do in SF. I'll be there for a week starting the 9th and don't really have any set plans. I find most things interesting. Definitely a food and drink person. Any tips people have would be awesome, or if someone feels inclined to hang out and show me stuff that would be cool too. I'm pretty not awkward and am always up to meet new people and do most anything. Again, any help would be great!

i'm right outside hartford and i didn't feel it either. I am too, but I did feel it. My computer chair (which I was in) and desk were rocking back and forth for about 10 seconds, but I'm sure there's plenty of places that it wasn't even noticeable.

I have literally no arch. My whole foot just barely curves but is other wise flat. I've tried a ton of inserts and built in arch support shoes for a long time and most are useless within a couple weeks. I recently started using Dr Scholl's Big and Tall work inserts. I got a good 4-6 months out of them and just bought a new pair to replace them soon. They might make your arch ache a little for the first few days, maybe longer, but that is worth the trade off for not having my ankles feel like they're falling apart. I'm also on my feet a lot as a bartender so if that isn't the case for you they should hold up way longer.

I've always thought really bassy rumbling hums created a creepy atmosphere in movies. Almost like the sound planes make flying overhead when it's overcast and the air is thick or heavy machinery running in the distance. It wouldn't lead any of the pieces most likely, but would help create an unsettling backdrop. Not that you'd use this idea, but maybe just some inspiration; I saw this band Kentucky Fried Doom that played really sludgy doom (obviously) with a mic'ed deep fryer running the entire set to create a really fucked up ambient noise.

I'm glad to see people are listening to this! I've known a few dudes in this band for a while now and was so stoked for their first show last week. I got stuck at work, of course, but they're playing with Transit on Friday just about 10 minutes from me so that should work out. They are seriously good dudes and these songs turned out awesome! I hope to see them picking up some more shows soon.

Neti pots are awesome! I also found that doing some facial massage really helps as well. The warmer your hands are the better. I normally rub my forehead in a circular motion and then work down the rest of my face kind of pulling down on the sides of my nose and right next to it. This helps loosen the mucus a bunch and should alleviate some of the pressure.
