As you know most stores have a standard markup and then add a bit to cover shipping costs. But something to consider is that it's not easy for stores to get RSD titles, as some of them don't show up at distributors until mere days before RSD. So the stores end up having to pay more for shipping because they have to get the records quicker. The store i used to work for here in Vancouver ran into this trouble and i know that other stores here in Canada have this problem. It's the reason why alot of the 7"s cost $8-10.

I got my LP last night. Surprisingly Insound ships via UPS, so i got it overnight. My version from Total Treble apparently got shipped Wed, that's when i got the tracking number. The gatefold on this thing is incredible quality. Nice blue vinyl as well.

I got one like this. I worked at a store that was also a distributor here in Vancouver. About 3 years ago we got an SST order and 1 of the TV Party singles had the Minutemen on the flip side. Also i think the reason SST is so bad with their pressing info is because Gregg doesn't pay any of the bands.

I'm hoping someone on this board can help me out. I'm coming to SF real soon and the weekend i'm there was supposed to be the big KUSF Rock n Swap at the university in San Francisco (it was Feb 13). I know there's been some changes with KUSF and now the website for the swap is gone. Does anyone know if it's still happening? Any help would be appreciated. thanks.

I don't think Steve is going to screw you over.... BUT... as someone who knows him (but no longer hangs around with him) i can say that at this time of year Steve is either sleeping or snowboarding. So i'd say wait a few days before filing a paypal claim.

Here's something to think about; I live in Canada, and when i order a 7" that costs $5 i usually end up paying another $4 for postage. I'm used to paying $10 for a single. There's just no such thing as a $5 ppd record anymore. Learn to accept or just quit buying records.

Doug's record collection once gave me an awkward boner. It is a sight to behold in person (I might be talking about his records, or i might be talking about my boner).

I was just going thru my collection, making some piles of shit to get rid of and found this Choking Victim single and thought someone here might want it: Chocking Victim - Crack Rock Steady EP 7" (Non-Commercial Records) The sleeve is VG, slight bend along top of cover because it was photocopied on cheap/thin paper and sticks out of the bag just slightly, so it was this way when i got it. Looks punk as fuck. Vinyl is VG. No visible marks, plays fine. Record was bought when it came out, played once or twice and then filed away until today. $50 obo Email me: [email protected]

I've got a Black Flag "TV Party" 7" but on the B-side instead of more Flag it's actually the Minutemen. I work at a indie music distributor so when i discovered this i went thru all the copies we got in at that time and all of them were normal except for this one copy. I kept it.

Damn. I paid a mint for postage to get these from the label in Europe. I should've figured Deathwish would carry them.

So stoked to see that Heiress are doing a split on Deathwish. They're one of my favorite NW bands right now. I went to Bellingham to see them again last week but the cops busted the show just as they were about to start. Lame.

I thought it was pretty funny. Lighten up a little. You'd be better off offering this up on the PPMB. There are always folks over there looking for that record. I'd be interested, but I refuse to pay an arm and a leg for a record I got for free years ago and can't seem to find. Thanx for the tip. I don't know why i'm having so much trouble on the PPMB. My log in doesn't work, and when i try to start a new account it isn't working. So frustrating. Also thinking a joke is lame doesn't mean i need to lighten up, it means people need to tell better jokes.

I work in a record store/distributor and over the past few hours i've been digging thru old boxes around the compound and i just found a small stack of Leatherface - Minx CD (1993, Rouchneck Recording Company). These are way out of print, and i honestly can't remember if it came out on vinyl. Anyways, if anyone is interested in getting one of these send me an offer.

In Bear Country played their first show here in Vancouver on the weekend when i put them on the Ruiner show. If you dig the recording wait till you see the band live. Fuck, they were so good! Stoked to go see them again tmrw night.
