Last year Amoeba gave everyone in line a sheet with all of the releases on it, then you checked off what you wanted, gave it back to the workers, they got em all, and you got rung up. It ruled. No crazy rush towards everything, no fighting, just pick what you wanted and BAM!

Just listened to the pop mix and it's really good! The transitions are smooth. I'll check the other one out later on. What did you use? You should upload them to some of the streaming mix sites like soundcloud, mixcrate, or mixcloud. Here's a couple I did really quick for a promoter. I use the 3 shelf bookcases from Big Lots. I think they're 15 bucks or so. If you already have a container, you could probably put those on the shelves. That's what I did. 3 bins across fits perfectly (at least the bins I use)

When they did the Goddamnit version of this, it was one of the best shows I've ever been to. They played all of GD, a mini acoustic set, then another set of everything else.

If you search google for beginner tips, most sites have the same info copied from one another. That's what I did and still do almost every day haha. I would start with searching for beginners mixing/beginners beat matching.

I actually just got a usb soundcard with rca inputs so I could record. I tested it out last night and tried to make a mix and when I was playing it back, I heard some weird stuff. I think my motor is jacked

I have my first gig in a couple weeks and I'm wondering if you guys had any tips. I'm getting better with beat matching and all that and I know that will happen with practice. Did you guys make setlists before you spin? Were you as nervous as I am weeks before your first time? Did you nerd out and make spreadsheets with songs and bpms? If you're in So Cal, check it out. A 50 cc scooter will work for you, BUT, I guarantee that if you get that, in a week you'll want something that goes faster and has more power. I started with a 50 cc and it got me there, but it took a while to get to top speed and would usually have a cars go around me. I think top speed was 35-40. Once I got my 150 cc, it was night and day. Top speed on that is 60-65 and I can actually keep up and even pass traffic on those side streets. There's a lot of straightaways here where the speed limit is 50 and I'd never make it on my 50cc scooter. My 2 cents, get a 150cc scooter or above

Getting my Vespa was the best thing I've done. I take it everywhere and hardly use my car anymore. What kind of roads will you be on? Do you need/want to take it on the highway? Answers to those questions will help you realize how many ccs to get

I finally have some room and supplies and I started toying around with making things for Halloween. I made these over the weekend. They still have some work needed (paint, better bone for the finger, tie the intestines off on the ends, etc) If you make things, any advice for a n00b?
