Might you think that the people that do have them and aren't saying anything is maybe because the label has asked them not say anything?
I think if the label was nice enough to sell/send me one and they asked me not to say where it came from...I might do that....if not they may not be so kind the next time they release something.

From what I understand they are not telling people not to tell anyone about it...they are just telling them not to post where they got it from.
I don't think it should be too difficult to figure out where the record is coming from though....Pirate Press and my blog posted that info almost a month ago now...

I sold my ticket to someone else for 15 or 20 bucks (I forget) and I'm pretty sure they went... too lazy to go back through messages to figure who and how much.
They should have been able to get in.
I placed my order and then emailed Merchdirect to see if I could change the name that the ticket was being held and they were very accommodating so that was cool of them.

The way I personally view variant collecting is that it's just wasting money just to have different colored plastic of the same album that you probably have on CD. It doesn't really impress anyone that you enjoy just one band so much you have all their albums, in different colors, that all sound the same, even through PC speakers with a "bass amplifier".
