“We’re putting ideas together,” Cuomo says, adding that the band didn’t do anything exciting to celebrate the album’s 20th anniversary, so they want to do it this time. “It’s just this tidal wave of passion,” the singer and guitarist says of the fans’ obsession with the record, “So, we are going to give it its due respect and come out with a really amazing deluxe package with a bunch of additional material, and of course, we’ve gotta do some kind of epic tour.”

As Weintraub points out following Cuomo’s remark about a potential tour, the band is wrapping up 2023 with a show in Oklahoma at the end of the month with nothing on the calendar after that aside from a few shows in the early summer. Naturally, he asked if there would be something to celebrate the Blue Album more officially. “Yeah, I think the public tour dates cut off in June and then there’s this very suspicious blank space in our calendar for months after that,” Cuomo teased, “so I’d keep your eye on that.”

Very little care went into the shipping and design of the Icarus EP. No extra padding in a mailer that was too big. It was sliding all over and of course has a seam split. No insert. Both labels are the same so you have to read the runout to know which side is which before playing it. They gave it an anti-static sleeve and it sounds good which are the only positive things I can say.

Later edit: Icarus Lives! (Bulbous Remix) is actually on side A and the jacket says it's on side B. Great job!

This is almost always a terrible argument that I see way too often. They're an American band on an American label. If Fat Wreck didn't distribute any copies to other countries that's a valid argument but I'm fairly certain they do.

I was shocked how fast everything sold out besides Clear and Icarus. I didn't know the demand was so high. I've had every Periphery release since I got them when they came out but I was certain Icarus would have been gone instantly.

I saw the album in full in 2014 for the tour with Saves the Day and Reggie and the Full Effect. Then in 2018 when they played the 3 albums over 2 nights. I'm good skipping this one. I figured they had toured this album in full enough times. $$$

Someone got my honest review on Discogs with the video link informing people about the poor quality of my copy. I've never had that happen. Real nice.

Always seems like one or the other. I didn't enjoy any of their hardcore releases and apparently the band doesn't enjoy them too much either. I definitely became a big fan with Rare and everything after but I can understand why old fans wouldn't be into the change.
