  1. This is a nice sentiment. But this is the reissue of the soundtrack of a somewhat silly children's sci-fi adventure movie from the 80s. I wouldn't mind if it was cut from cd and put into a pixelated jacket and sold cheap, because although I'd really like to have it, I can't see a lot of times when I'd really want to listen to it.
  2. I had to do a double-take on that Hole record and look it up. It seems strange to me that someone would need a Courtney Love record that badly.
  3. $87.50 seems a bit low for a Barbara Streisand record
  4. Batman (the Michael Keaton one, not all those terrible remakes)
  5. This is kind of getting to be a silly argument Price your records below ebay going-rates because you don't have to pay fees to list/sell things on this forum
  6. I like this thread. You guys are fun.
  7. ""Mass production and content saturation have devalued both our experience of music and our ability to establish its value." I would probably argue that if anything was "devaluing" our experience with music that it would probably be gimmicky bullshit.
  8. I started playing in Junior High and have gone through long spurts of "not progressing". It's tough when you get stuck in a rut. Playing with other people really helps because it inspires you to go in other directions. One of the things that I do when I feel like my guitar playing is getting stale is to pick up another instrument. Bass is really simple if you can play guitar and know a couple scales. But it forces you to think differently about your approach to music and how to put sounds together.
  9. I actually kinda like that. Link to your collection then the person who gets you puts together a package based on your interests
  10. I'm all for a tape trade collective but it would be difficult to regulate the quality of the trades if it's random
  11. You don't happened to have a twitter I could follow? Because that would be a much more convenient way to buy records
  12. If you're looking to get rid of this album, let me know
  13. Tough to say, it's not so easy picking out a record for exactly $33 or whatever
  14. Geeze, that must be quite the project to break up a collection like that
  15. The Beatles. Everything they did was so gimmicky. Their music feels more like jingles to me than anything else.
