  1. Also LA Times, Buzzfeed, and Politico. Associated Press and Time boycotted the briefing as soon as they found out.
  2. I think Bob's Burgers is great and I've watched the entire series multiple times. I think the dumb little songs are hilarious and a unique part of the show. I would probably rip my hair out if I had to listen to them all in a row, one after the other.
  3. So stocked, just picked up tickets to X in May. They're playing this trashy roadhouse club on the outskirts of town. I saw John Doe do a solo show there last year and it was awesome, so it's great he's coming back with the full band. Also just picked up tickets to Agent Orange with Guttermouth and The Queers in March, Radiohead in April, and Descendents in November. Pretty spread out, but it's shaping up to look like a pretty decent year. The Pixies are coming later on but I'm debating on it, the venue kind of sucks and charges too much for booze.
  4. Thanks for the heads up, picked up R.E.M. - Green and Public Enemy - Fear of a Black Planet for $15
  5. It's weird that that video ends up with the Rolling Stone logo, but doesn't include any of the quotes they use in the article with the exact same name. http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/features/18-wtf-moments-from-trumps-unhinged-press-conference-w467518
  6. Huh, I guess I always assumed you were like 15 or something. I don't mean that in a mean way, just an observation. The opposite side of that is my experience. My wife and I got engaged when we were 21 and in our junior year at college. I thought it was cool that we got to grow together a bit before our personalities and interests became a bit more cemented, which studies show happens in your later 20s. So there's that. We were also broken up when I proposed. Our 3rd breakup over the course of about a year. It was the first serious relationship for either of us. And then we were only engaged for about 6 weeks before the wedding... Im realizing right now that I might not be the best person to give people relationship advice.
  7. Pence knowledge seems to be where a lot of the media is directing the conversation. But the White House is also steering it that way which makes me wonder if there might be more to the story.
  8. I just finished my latest watch-through. Best thing about finishing Gilmore Girls is immediately starting it over again.
  9. Are we still in a "vinyl resurgence"? Do people still say that? I figured by now it had been long enough that we'd all just give these things up for the vastly superior compact disc.
  10. My wife works in a cupcake shop that's doing extended hours for the holiday. So it doesn't look like I'll be doing much of anything until super late. Cool video
  11. Somebody lucked out on those Cure albums. I was watching the page for the last hour before the sale started, then got distracted and by 8:20 just about everything was gone.
  12. This sounds like something you'd be trying desperately to sell me when im just in the mood for a nice leisurely walk down the Venice Beach boardwalk.
  13. Even with the Husker Du and Black Flag, $42 with shipping seems like a lot for 5 random albums. I probably wouldn't think to spend more than $10 on any of the albums in that pile they're advertising.
  14. Just because I feel differently, I'll say, doing stuff is lame. My wife and I are codependent losers who never leave the house, except to go to work. We come home every night, get drunk, listen to punk records, smoke cigarettes, then get high and play old video games or watch TV. It's the best and I highly suggest it. Outside and meeting people/having friends is way overrated when you can just be emotionally dependent on an angry feminist who knows how to mix cocktails.
  15. I guess my real curiosity is all these controversial executive orders he's signing in his first days. If he was really about bringing the nation together and healing, as he mentioned several times during the debates, then why? If he's, at least hypothetically, not completely ignorant to how politics work - why not span them out? There were going to be protests no matter how he spent his first 100 days, that was just a given considering how contentious this race was. But they could have just been a cathartic way of addressing the frustration of Democrats and Independents that didn't support his presidency. Now there are legitimate, highly politicised issues to worry about. I think my comments in the past show where my allegiance lies, but that doesn't mean I want to watch the world burn. I just want what's best for everyone. And despite all things, I want Trump to succeed in bringing people together. I figured that would have meant nominating Merrich Garland as Supreme Court justice, or expanding investment in renewable energy technology. But instead, he's put half the country into this highly defensive state of mind and causing a state of fear.
  16. In my experience, people who are new to records and young. Also scammers.
  17. That's a good point. I googled for it and there seems to be some debate on it. The Star Wars wiki describes the plural of Jedi to be Jedis, but someone on another forum pointed out that "Jedis" and "Siths" are never said in the films. I don't feel like it would be weird to use the plural Jedis when referring to individuals. Like, Q: "Who are those guys in the corner?" A: "Oh, those are Jedis."
  18. That's a really haunting and beautiful song. I feel strange, like I'm excited to have a preorder in for a new Mount Eerie album but hearing the theme is heartbreaking.
  19. There's also a rumor going around that NPR and PBS will be on the chopping block.
  20. So that whole Jedi returning bit was a bit of a letdown if we're already back to the last one.
  21. I wasn't impressed, personally. After it was finished I just felt like I would have preferred a full length documentary on Lagwagon.
